I think I have seen that issue before... I believe what solved it was increasing the video quality settings in the Garry's Mod menu.

If you want to make something like this, I'd actually recommend using Unity game engine. Way easier!

Haha, all I can say is that it involved pushing the Hammer map editor's I/O system to its limits! Something like this is much easier to make in code, but I enjoyed the challenge of doing it without code!

You're right. For some reason, on some PCs you need to press the jump button more often and the bird feels more "heavy". For other PCs it works exactly like Flappy Bird. I'm honestly not sure why, but my guess is that the physics engine acts differently on various hardware. On the PC I created this on, the jumping is exactly like Flappy Bird.

No offense, but the whole jumping thing is horrible. The bird just does these tiny little hops when in the real game he actually hops.

Well, actually, if you play it long enough, its actually getting more easy as you can controll the bird more precise. I've got 38 at third playthrough...

After watching some random gameplay videos that made it to YouTube, I realize that the controls are different for some users than they are for others. When I developed this, it worked (and still works) exactly like the original as far as controls go on MY computer. For some reason, a portion of players have to flap a lot harder. I haven't closely looked into the reason why, and it's debatable whether it's worth it to fix a game that's already meant to frustrate you. I kind of made this as a one-time only release for a contest (that I won by the way), but if you guys REALLY want me to tweak the controls I could make that happen. However it's still playable if you're unlucky enough to have a "heavy" bird.
