I personally think this mod is dead if somebody other than @salamander doesn't maintain it.

@salamander is a nice guy and I think he will totally understand. We did similar work on Sinking Physics Overhaul once when Shdun was gone.

Also sailors keep staying in flooded compartments that are marked for evac just to block leaks

Thanks for the update Sq_paradox, It was one of the main mods in my play through, especially liked the decks awash feature that kept the decks slightly above water not like the base game that dunks the conning tower all the time and floods the command room if I've forgotten to tell the stupid sailors to close the hatches! come back soon Salamander!!!

Salamander has been MIA for some time. We do not know if or when he will return.
It has yet to be decided what to do with his mods.

Here's hoping Salamander has time to update this mod, my game just isnt the same without pulling stuff to bits to repair others lol!

I started getting the same bug that others reported, the valves wouldn't be operated automatically by any crew member when dive/surfacing was ordered. In fact no action would be performed automatically, I had to manually select an officer and give them direct command for anything to happen, like turning compressors/pump on and off, switching lights etc. Any chance you could look into it?

I can't play the game with this mod anymore until there is a fix for this. Huge bummer!

I keep having to disable this mod to get officers (engineer/mechanic) to actually repair anything. However I get the fact that this might not be getting updated like it used to be.

Best mod in the game, makes things much more realistic while also making other things easier to manage.

I fixed it - it is in the user notes - you need 4 scrap (I only had 3) to make parts in Iron Coffins! Cheeers!

I love this mod - and it has really improved how I play and enjoy the game. My only "bug" - and I can't seem to find an answer anywhere on the forums, is that I cannot use the scrap metal I harvest.

Let me paint he scene. I am approaching an enemy formation - and am attacked by air. Damaged heavily, I sink to the bottom - but land at 37m! All the flooding, atmosphere, bulkhead, and auto-sailor drag functions are working perfectly! What a great Mod!

After hours of pumping and repair, I get the sub to float. Elect Engines and radio down, I "harvest" my gyrocompass, and my diesel compressor for parts. Having salvaged several minor items, I have 4 scrap in the inventory.

Here's the problem - the Salvage desk won't let me salvage? It says on the Tooltip that I have 20kg of Scrap, and can make 2 repair parts - Perfect! (Elec Eng, and Radio) - it won't function - greyed out - no go. Searched the internet everywhere! Help!

oh crap i just realised, if they update the game, this one mod might need a re work.. and this is basically my must have :') They talk to you in advance in any way salamander :") ?

recently subscribed and now in first person I can not open any doors, the only option is to "evacuate" the space. I also looked into the stern torp room and not able to find the toolbox. Any advice?

Hi. I have this same bug. My mechanic dont repeir all leaks and damage. Just stay and do nothing. Its some patch planed?

I have the same issue @Swaggrid had.

I will give order to give, dive planes are responsive etc, but no officer/sailor will actually operate the ballast valve. I have to give a manual order. This has happened twice so far, seems to be after I completely changed the officer's shifts and duties? reloading & clearing cache/datasheets fixed it.

I am also running into the same issue Marbakka is having. In some cases it says they are repairing but in reality they are just standing around not doing anything. Only after a reload does it fix the problem temporarily. Becomes extremely tedious when there are 12 things to repair after a depth charge attack and you simply have to reload 3-4 times to get operations and limp back to base.

wrt my previous post, I have discovered that saving the game and reloading allows for the repairs to be made. However, I can often only get 3-4 repairs done before it has to be saved and reloaded again.
