Yeah, apologies. My brain decided it didn't want to read the first few lines immediately below. Apologies. By the time my brain registered the information, I couldn't work out how to delete my comment. Sorry!

the first paragraph in the description explains this.

Could I ask why this requires the Sydney Opera House? Especially as it is quite a large file.

@Robert thanks for uploading the screenshot.

Added screenshots of how it looks when 'lit' up, to the extent that it is. Some illuminated windows on the sheltered balcony (above and further inside the restaurant) also. They are set up for a higher threshold (lower odds) on the illumination spectrum, making them less frequent and less vibrant when they appear.

There are some lights in the Brooklyn Hotel windows (third building) which are quite faint, as well as lights in the storefront windows. Didn't want any strong illumination as it is mostly a bar, low-lit. I'll get a screenshot of the windows lit up.

Hey @Robert I did have a question, is there supposed to be night lighting on the exterior? I do see lamps inside the restaurant but no other lighting on the building

Great looking building, thanks!

I've got threads for most of my major ones (like the opera house etc.), I learned from scratch to make stuff for skylines, my earliest items are evidence of that :) good luck with creating stuff!

@Robert, thanks for sharing! I'm looking to start 3d modeling so you just gave me another rabbit hole within the rabbit hole to read through!

Beautifully done!

Mentioned in the description, I used two props I previously made which are packaged with the opera house. These are the dining sets in the restaurant area in the back. If you don't care about that part (covering it with buildings/trees, replacing with other props, leaving it empty) then don't worry about it. It will look fine without them.

Very nice asset. 💯 Also why does it need the Sydney opera house?

thanks all
@Bonovision I shared some of the process along the way on twitter, although it was more mesh-focused this time, but here's what the final texture looked like: https://twitter.com/bobsymay/status/1369278216544739330
I guess my method is to handpaint wherever practical, use scrolling as much as possible (this one has a very wide but short texture for that reason), umm, if any faces *can* be expressed with a single solid colour, cram them into tiny spaces to save on space. it's a big game of tetris :)
Tauschgeschäft Hansa 2021 年 3 月 9 日 上午 4:57
Uffff, very nice :)
The Doot Slayer 2021 年 3 月 9 日 上午 4:43
Another outstanding asset! :)

The polish on this building looks absolutely stunning! If you wouldn't mind sharing: What is your method of applying texture so well?
