Looks like the rep update that buffed d10 also ended up making diesaac a lot easier since he just auto-downgrades every enemy now.

Anyways, I might be stubborn when it comes to my opinions about game design, but I also like making people happy, so here’s what I’ll probably do: make another mod with an unnerfed Tainted Diesaac. Thank you all so much for your feedback, as always

As for the nerf, I was actually planning to nerf T. Diesaac before seeing SlayXc2’s video, the comments of which are mostly positive regarding how busted the character was. I followed through with my own plan anyways, because my original vision for the character was that he *should* be strong, but not an instant, free game-break. I still think he’s strong now.

Thanks for your help on the mod compatibility stuff, I’m not sure what I can do but it helps to know what’s up. I’ll look into it at some point

Wait, it was nerfed??

Just watched SlayXc2's video guide on this character and thought it looked really fun. Too bad I was one day too late and now the character has been nerfed immensely. Not everything in this game has be insanely tough, it could just be fun, especially when it doesn't affect game progression at all.

Big sad, I found 2 mods. Mastema and Andromeda both cause this weird flashing issue for Diesaac. My only guess is that both of these character mods change treasure rooms in some way??? Regardless, these are what people likely have that cause the issues. Not sure if it can be fixed, but I hope this still helps! Cheers!

Update, its a compatibility issue, I'll list some of the ones I have that may be causing it when I find out, in case anybody else has them.

If it still doesn't work, I'll see if its a mod compatibility issue.

I finally updated the mod today, you can read the change notes for a full list of what I changed. Currently looking into the “flashing sprites” problem that people are having, though I’ve yet to encounter it myself. I suspect it might happen due to interactions with other mods, which would explain why I’m not seeing it.

They worked randomly, and then went back to glitched. So, there IS a solution, just not sure what it is yet.

The glitched sprites for Diesaac seem to happen without controller. I FINALLY hit Dead God and wanted to check out modded characters. I play with controller, but I tested it on keyboard just incase and the glitched sprites keep happening and it's very distracting.

wondering if its okay if a TBOI four souls card im making includes diesaac. its a personal expansion with my friends that may be released publicly, so asking if its okay to use them.

People have mentioned this before, but Diesaac's D12 ability causes the Knife Piece 2 chase sequence to softlock. Not sure if the bug is fixed, as I experienced it just now.

when playing with controller the sprite flashes between 2 pips and the one it's supposed to be.

honestly the mod is an absolute banger being honest. but i feel like tainted diesaac just has waaay to much control over his run. like tainted cain minus the crafting

Ah, I was also about to say the rock randomizing stopped a Mother run in the same spot as Kodaichi. I did pull up the console and give myself a hanged man card so I could continue it. And then a couple of rooms after that it rerolled a key needed to unlock a key block so I had to do it again lol.

Also props for getting there as Diesaac of all characters lol

How do people combo normal characters to tainted characters all in one pack? i been having alot of trouble with this. otherwise great mod! :D

I think this characters really cool but i thought of a think were when diessac shot his tears he would either fire 1 2 3 4 5 or 6 tears at once
