if you want this to be the "ultimate" add a radial menu for vtf files already inserted in the vgui for garry's mod

if these you can place without this mod they should work just fine with it (as a fallback, when no sprays are added)
in the interface of the mod you can't use vtf files directly, only jpg/gif/webp/webm/mp4 (and whatever gmod's chromium fork supports)

Yes I was talking about VTF file, sorry. I used to convert gifs in to VTF so I refer them to gifs.

but that's in theory. dsprays validates and only allows http:// and https:// urls
so yea you have to upload it somewhere

in theory you can try using asset:// links to use any image in your game folder (but only you will be able to see it, the image won't be sent to other players but the path would)

Is it possible to use your own gifs via your computer's storage?
Since Discord has that link problem, and it turns our Ezgifs expire, and I don't exactly trust Imgur that much;
Is it possible to use your own computer, as said already?
If not, uhh..

Can you point me to some sites that turns gifs into non-expire, permanent links?

"virtually all source engine games" don\t use gifs, they only support VTF textures (including for sprays)

I am on x64 branch, yes. The gif is average 500kb file that works on virtually all source engine games, and it works in gmod.
Also it was /v/party server, the gif used to work everywhere, including props, but after gmod update it stopped working on props.
Curious, would you allow high definition sprays and their animations up to 10 mb or more?

1. did you select an animated spray type?
2. are you on x64 branch? chromium is required for animations

I think this is broken. When I spray animated gif spray on props, their animation becomes static image.

right click and copy image link, if it ends with jpg/png/gif it is a direct link

Hey, i have a question, how do you remove sprays that are placed by someone using the "Poster" tool in toolgun? The context menu doesn't seem to show up on those so i can't highlight and delete them like with normal sprays, meaning that those images remain ingrained into the map forever even after restarting the server.

Found a fix "Kinda" requires you to make the url shorter, used a url shrinker to fix it

Doesn't seem to work with recent discord images for whatever reason, For whatever reason it labels images even if they're just recently made, as "This content is no longer available.", Gonna guess its a bug but i dunno, posting the full link works but fails when putting it into dsprays
