US for united states, feldflasche means kinda like field-bottle (a special bottle for battlefieds / soldiers).

Unfortunately, no. There's a mod for attaching bottles to your backpack (and maybe your belt), but I doubt my mod would work with it.

You should significantly lower the spawn rate, in the current version it breaks the spawn of loot, relative to vanilla. Everything is literally littered with these canteens. I had to manually lower the spawn rate, as I was afraid that I would not receive a lot of the usual - and important! - loot, because canteens will be spawned instead of it. It would be more valuable if it were rare. In addition, I would like to attach it to my belt, like a walkie-talkie, so that its weight decreases (and drink when you press, but this is not necessary). In general, a good, very useful thing.

Got a check at the files. The issue is with the CAN-LootDistributions file. The incompatibility is due to the fact that your file is different from the Brita one.
If you want your mod compatible with it you need ask the permision to Brita to use his file and then edit it accordingly ( Pretty easy due to the fact that this is just one item ) ;)

Is it supposed to spawn in large amounts in schools? You can easily get around 30-40 in most larger schools, almost every locker has one, up to 3 at times.

It's not that much compatible with Brita's gun mod FYI. It doesn't show gun attachments if you enable this mod with it.
