Nice Gurren Lagann reference

hey man ive been runnin the drill in grass fo a while now but no fossil. is it bad rng or a glitch?

Hey, I've been using your mod for a bit now, has been very helpful, but the fact that it doesn't auto pickup is unfortunate.

I see you haven't worked on the mod in a while, but could you please make it so it auto picks up the items?

I know that its been a long time since you worked on the mod, but making automation pick up the drop like it does help with the other machines would be nice.but i love the mod as is as well

where can i find the perk at to unlock it

Could you add in a feature that would automatically pick up the things it mines like the mining lasers do when they break a resource node?

Hey @PÖ, Thanks for the comment! If I remember correctly I made it so that the snow biome is the most average of all the biomes in terms of unique drops. The "rare resources" I'm referring to are towards the very bottom of the mod description and are different per biome. In addition, the rare drop for the snow biome is Crystals, not gems! (confusing I know)

So, the only place you can reliably farm for random gems are in the Grass and Desert biome as their rare drops are any random gem from 1-5. Hope this helps! If not feel free to reply to the comment and I'll try to address any questions you may have. Thanks again!

Hi and thanks for a great mod. One stupid question though: My drill in the ice biome (where all my lighthouses are at the moment) give me 0 gems. You write "Info: ALL rare resources have a 7% chance to drop REGARDLESS of biome or item dropped." You later write that the ice biome drops extra crystals. All in all I interpret it as gems should ALSO drop in the ice biome, am I misunderstanding?

Also, often when going to collect items its totally empty by the drill. Bug?

Hi @Lowent, I'm not sure what you mean by wanting it to require "steel instead of royal steel" as the drill costs 10 steel and not royal steel. As for it using water instead of oil that simply wouldn't make sense logically speaking. Plus I balanced it in a way it would be a little harder to spam everywhere with common materials. As @VerdantSheep said, it is definitely a mid-game item and thus you should be able to get those materials by then no problem. If it seems to be a more common complaint I'll definitely consider changing the crafting requirements. Hope that helps,and thanks for the comment!

pretty sure its a mid game item, i think its priced right, did humanity have a gold pick equivelant at the same time as mining drills?

Hey @VerdantSheep! Yes, you're going to have to unlock the "Drilling" skill in-game before you can access the Mining Drill. This is for balance reasons and to make something to work towards in the game once you have enough resources! Hope you enjoy the mod! do i need to unlock mining after i download the mod because i have the mod downloaded but the drill is not there

New Update! This one is pretty small, just fixed a problem with the drill sprite being misaligned and added a greeting to the console when compiling your mods. Let me know if you all have any suggestions to make this drill even more useful! (maybe automatic item collection instead of having to manually collect everything?). Thanks for your support!

@scorp_poison, Hey! The mining drill drops items on the tile it was placed on once it finishes mining. Take a look at the gif on this mod page for an example of how that looks. You have to occasionally pick everything up with your mouse in order to collect everything it ends up dropping. Hope that helps!

does it get the addition bonus from the lighthouse?
