its been awhile since you commented the messup, but you lack the link for the new upload

I'm really sorry, but I will have to re-upload this to the workshop as the files have all messed up. I will leave a link in the description of this map so you can find it easily.

I may need to delete all of the different sized maps and just keep the original as I have been having trouble playing the map myself since I added different sizes. I will do that now and see if it fixes the problem for anyone wishing to play the map (myself included).

Whenever I download it I can get it to show the maps. I check it in the mods and continue. All my other mods work fine, but this refuses to show up in the map selection. Shame... Was looking forward to it.

Go to my documents>my games>Civ V>MODS>Hexagon Warfare and copy the map file. Then go to computer>local disk>program files>steam>steamapps>common>Civ V>assets>maps and paste the file in there. Then you should be able to play the map without going through modded setup.

doesnt matter how many times i redownload this. I only get the Standard sized map

To change the map size you need to use the other maps in the pack, because each one is made for a different number of players. Im not sure why it isnt showing up though.

After copying the map into the map folder because i could not see it in game, I find myself locked to the Standard size map

martynholloway- When you have subscribed to the map, you go on Civ V and click MODS. Then you accept the message and select "Hexagon Warfare". Press next, then press single player, then set up game, and when selecting a map go on additional maps and select the map that you want (My default map is called 'Hexagon Warfare'). From there, set up the game as you would normally

Map does not sow up on list still. Mod enabled and all that good stuff.

No DLC is required, but if you want to play it with DLC on, that should work also. But no, there are no DLC requirements for my map.

@Jon First, make sure you're going through the Mods option on the main menu (which it sounds like you are). Second, make sure you actually have the mod enabled (there will be a grayed-out checkmark next to each mod you have installed, and you must click said checkmark so it becomes a brighter green color). Third, and this sounds like your main issue, this map is likely not called "Random Map" in the game. It will probably be called "Hexagon Warfare" or something to that effect, though I cannot confirm this because I have not tried a game with this mod as of yet (though my next game may well be on it).

how do i use it? Ill click on it and itll say "configuring game data....." then it will give me the option of single or multiplayer, after i select single it gives me the option of loading a game or setting it up. And when i do random map it wiill give me just that, a random rap! not this one

This definitally reminds me of the ffa 9 person games that the original starcraft had.

Ok, good idea. I will make another version soon where the spawn points for the Civs and city states are completely randomised, so that it is compatible with larger/smaller amounts of players. Im sorry but I'm not sure how I could do the abundant resources thing though. I will look into it though.

Nevermind, I am being dumb here, i assure that the player number is automatically setted once I selected the map.
For sake of suggestion, it is very cool map, it would also be nice to random starting location and not depending on the player number. Resource abundance ajustment options would also be nice.

This isn't intentional. How many AI players are in the game? If you are playing any map size bigger than small (6 players) then that is probably why, because then the extra players will be scattered randomly around the map, instead of spawning in the intended places. Also, you need to make sure that there are 6 city states in the game, because the same problem will occur if there isn't. If the problem persists, please tell me and i will re-do the spawning locations so that this problem doesnt occur again

It should work on all DLCs and vanilla.
