If you know the mods you want to use it might be easiest to create conditional patching to support other mods, or maybe play around with a more complicated xpath search and hierarchy walking to do it generically?
Making one of these mods is fairly easy, it shouldn't take more than a day or so of fussing around. Look online, the tutorials are pretty straightforward if you're just doing a simple patch mod. Feel free to grab mine as a starting point, I just made this patch while trying to rebalance the SoS2 ship weapons, which are pretty wonky last I checked. Not really using SoS2 once I beat the last boss fight. Fun mod but exploitable due to the broken way Rimworld does explosions against walls.
For example if I use a mod that adds the EVA tag to power armor, so it can be used as EVA suits, will this mod affect them too?
