well, @Centurion @Wookiewarrior00000 is right that all Thomas and friends characters are based on real-life trains such as Diesel who is actually a class 08 shunter.

@17simon03 I do not think you understand how much work goes into these things my friend.

Making fake trains from a kids show isn't very high on my priorities of what I want to spend hours of my free time doing.

I watch Thomas with my 1 year old son. The engines are incredibly off model. The colours are far too saturated, but that's ok, as it's for kids

If you like it, great! Go for it! Just don't force others who don't feel the same way to experience their hobby through your eyes.

There is nothing stopping you from doing this yourself. I went and learned 3D modelling just to put engines I want in this game. It took time and my early models are sloppy but 2 years later, here we are.

It can be done. Anyone can do it. You can do it, you're clearly passionate enough. Give it a try!

@GrafLukas Technically Gordon was an A0 (The prototype for the A1 and A3s) since he is built a bit wider than his brothers. But still, whether A0 or A1/A3, it would still be nice to have him

Nice job. Incidentally, In the original books' illustrations Henry has a much more sensible tender rather like an LMS Duchess in shape - it's much lower. The high tender seems to be from the models/TV

@Blast Hardcheese: Gordon is supposed to be a Gresley A1/A3 (brother of Flying Scotsman), of which there are decent mods out there. Just give them a blue paintjob.

Nice job Henry was always my Favorite Carakter and the thing with the wheels is that in the original Model they Used the wheels from a märklin br 78 wich is aktually a tank engine in a 4-6-4 configuration

Actually that would be very close to what just about happened. Henry was initially designed as a hybrid between an LMS and LNER engine, but those crooks built him with too small a firebox.

Technically modled as an LMS with and LNER hull, Henrys basically both.
