Well I figured out how to replace the levy unit but not sure how to just make it roman unique and not all of Italic cultures.

Yeah I've been trying my own personal modding for the roman levy. I can't seem to replace the light_infantry mesh properly

Yes i'm working on it, but it's a bit more complicated to do, i'm new in to modding. But I think it will be done this week.

Could you possibly replace the velites roman levy unit with something more unique like a Hastati looking unit?
