Would it be alright for you to delete this mod (in order to remove cluttering)? :)
Having played this demo 10+ times, and looking at the new rulebook, there aren't that many things that changed (aside from the new revive mechanic, which now that's been put on the table, is a must for 2+ players, as it made waiting for the revive REALLY tiresome).
////MAJOR CHANGES//////
- AT ANY TIME Unleash activates at 3*player struggle and removes struggle until 1*player
- You MUST pay stamina to move (vs in this demo, 1 move is free)
- You can now revive teammates, pay 2 stamina to flip token/remove token and draw hand (once per turn).
- Recompute Vyraxen health:
[[1st phase]]: A total of 6*player of damage to go into next stance
[[[2nd phase]]: 12*player of damage to go into last stance
[[3rd stance]] 12*player damage to kill it (estimated guess)
Can't talk about Toramat, as already in this build it's quite broken, so it's not worth paying it much attention right now
Is there a legit, alternative source to get these rules or at least fix the DropBox issue, as I'd love to feature the demo on future streams while I wait on my copy to arrive.
- Copy Ljonard's deck, masteries and equipment
- Load this one
- Paste.
It is popping up with: load image failed. unsupported format; Unknown , when they load up the workshop mod
It sounds like you broke the 5 card hand limit rule (unless there was a ton of assists that gave him an abundance of cards).
Ironblast and Maneuver card are already 2, and you would've had to discard other cards to pay the stamina cost for those (so we'll say another 2 cards spent). That's 4/5 cards already gone so it seems unlikely that you would've have enough stamina to pay for Sledgehammer in a substantial way.
Unless you can properly recount what cards were used.
How does the 'Sledgehammer' Card work?
We played it like this:
Fight against second monster, player Thoreg uses 'Ironblast' (inflicts vulnerable), then plays a Manoeuvre card, then plays 'Sledgehammer', which requires a blue directly before it and the activated Mastery for its full potential.
Since no rule explains how to use X cards, we used them as X amount of stamina to pay. We highly overpaid it, dealt the damage doubled for the Mastery effect and doubled again for the vulnearable + some other "minor" effects on top of that (the Attack itself, the second Weapon you can get (the counter-remove effect).
A single blow was able to deal 40+ damage easily. It could have been even higher if I had assist cards.
So I am quite disappointed that no rule explained how it was supposed to be used, because dealing 40+ damage with a single attack seems way to overpowered. So it left us with the feeling that we did break the rules.
Anyone got an answer?
So I was wondering if you will do / allow a full TTS release (like Gloomhaven) or consider a DLC release with TTS, since this game would benefit from some scripting
That aside, regarding the gameplay, there's nothing to criticize, but the rulebook was hard to work with (for the first round), since many rules are randomly buried among examples and the pdf is huge for 50 pages, meaning it loads slowly when skipping from one page to another by page number.
Either way, wish you the best of luck and hope this game turns out successful. It deserves it
Ex: As Thoreg, I play 2 reds in sequence which fulfills the "Disruption" card's requirement
So can I also use that card's reaction ability to stun the monster?
Also side question: If a "Reaction:" card doesnt say to discard to do the effect, do you just do the effect for free? Or do you have to pay the cost of the card?
Also when Vyraxen's last Stance is revealed and it casts fire to all Threatened Sectors what does that mean exactly? Any sector that has a Hero with Threaten token or just any sector that has a Hero?
Thanks, I backed the game on Kickstarter and enjoying so far
