any chance of a 3x3 variant with similar power but only 2 upgrade slots? so few good thruster mods are made and they are always too big or too old to use. This Drive is gorgeous but it's too big for any of my ships.

Heya nice mod, however I've had some weird stuff go on with the upgrade modules, some stat modifications seem to stay whenever you add 4 modules of the same type.

My fusion thruster now has (without upgrades) 83.97MN for 50.6M³.
It does get reset on reload though

It states that you get same thrust equivalet to 4 large hydrogen thrusters, does it also use the same amount of fuel? (with no mods giving more or less thrust)

Any change you could make a small grid thruster the size of the large grid? The large is bang on the dimensions of the roci's.

I did not steal the mod as I actively advertised this one as the absolute first line of the description and asked people to support the original creator,I made that version for fun and I would never dream of taking credit for Derekt's hard work
I only meant to make a version with more base power as to truly simulate the power of nuclear fusion IMO

Why are the modules in a separate dependent mod? If you use one of each do they cancel or provide some of each benefit?

I'd be looking for an electric booster that uses energy to boost thrust and reduce fuel use. The cost involves material and electricity that often eats valuable uranium.

Finally Extended Thruster flames!

I love this engine model. so many things can be done and look right. I did notice an issue with it however. tested and was able to replicate. when the engine is attached to a grid it is fully functional. however when used in a subgrid the engine draw is the same however thrust is greatly reduced. Is this a bug? I'm getting about 20% or less thrust.

damm love the model once you decide that you wont update the mod i pre registr myself to use its model XD for the merge mods of mine you know making the clip throught block so i can put armor around no dmg changing the flame to dlc one hmmm now that i think of it can you make DLC locked version that use the DLC flare

In the expanse the Epstine drive is closer to an ion thruster. It's fed from the ship's reactor to power it. Think you could do an ion thruster version?

Generally speaking thrust is constrained to the surface area of the ship. This thruster being 5x5 with 4x large hydros means it's giving you 6x6 worth of thrust in a 5x5 area. That's why I balanced it the way that I have. When I finish the upgrade modules you'll be able to get 2.5x thrust in total for 10 large hydros worth of thrust. But in doing so it'll eat about 20 large hydros of fuel

Volume of basic H2 thruster is 27 (3x3x3), yours is 175 (5x5x7) or about 6.5 basic thrusters. You might want to scale the materials, power, and fuel use accordingly.

There is a plasma thruster mod that both increases power and reduces fuel use by adding thruster components, supercharging the fuel for higher exit velocity. An upgrade module that worked similarly but used electricity would be good.

the thruster flame damages something like 35 blocks away from it. It's not meant for internal thrust.
