When you shooting instead of sleeves you see ERROR shimmers with rainbow.
Reloading sound is missing.

Had issues with the reload sounds, fixed it by taking the sound file from Vlodhammers other M16 skin, renaming it and adding this skin and that sound file to the custom folder. Works great now!

snd_restart doesn't affect the loading of the skin. Are you subscribed to any other mods that affect weapon skins? Because that will automatically disable or overwrite this mod. Additionally, it tends to work more reliably when you start a new savegame rather than loading an existing one. Finally, if none of that works, try to install it manually instead of clicking "subscribe" and hoping the workshop does the job.

I have downloaded the mod, I seem to hear the sound of the weapon, but the appearance is still that of an MP5, I used the snd_restart command but it still has the same appearance of an MP5, what can I do?

I think its meant to be that loud. I don't know how to change that short of adjusting your ingame sound effects volume. Also I don't believe the original uploader ever made a custom HUD Icon.

I think it's easier to test on Surface Tension, but you can try removing all the associated files from your custom folder, and then pasting them back in. It's often finicky and I can't figure out why it doesn't always load automatically because the reasons vary widely

Its fine. However are you planning on remodeling the rifle at some point? or updating the animations?

There is one final resort I might be able to provide you with if this doesn't work - I can upload a zipped folder of relevant files I know to have worked in the past in exactly the directory format necessary to function to mediafire or some such. If that doesn't work, then nothing will.

I think the only way to fix it is to start a new game. Have you tried starting a new game from Surface Tension to test if the M16 skin's reload sounds work? If they start working there, then that's the trouble. Otherwise it's just luck of the draw on Black Mesa's mod load order, and you just have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling to see if it works. But all the relevant files should be contained within this mod.

Alright I've tested if the M4 still has reload sounds after installing during a game and it seems like it does...
Sorry but It's probably something to do with your mod thats causing the issue.
You could try asking other modders for help perhaps?

So the M4 originally had no sound problems when you started that playthrough? I'd bet this this has to do with save-game states. Try reverting to M4 and seeing if reload sounds work again. This mod is so finicky I doubt you can swap it out mid-game without issues like this.

I had the M4 installed first, and then changed to M16.
And yes I tried snd_restart.

I am not confident that this mod works reliably when installed in the middle of a playthrough, only on new games, even if those new games are fresh starts of later chapters from the main menu.
I believe I may have encountered this problem when switching from one MP5 skin to this one while reloading the same save game. However I have not replicated this in recent memory, so I cannot be absolutely certain. Did you switch from default MP5, or another MP5 skin, to this skin, or did you have the M4 skin functioning and then switch to this M16?
Also, have you attempted the snd_restart console command?

Well I installed it after I reached Questionable Ethics since my idea was the HECU decided to change their rifles after Gordon got hit in the head.
And I did pick up the rifle as the M16.

All that sounds legitimate. Are you starting a new game? Picking up the SMG naturally in WGH? Having it equipped already in a new game on a later level like Surface Tension? Giving it to yourself with impulse 101?

So first I uninstalled all the mods that could be causing the issue.
[including the 900RPM mod]
Then reinstalled them and put the files in the Custom folder in the following order:
900RPM
FAS_Resources
M16A1

I could never pinpoint the exact cause for this, as it's happened to be several times before and the solution was different each time. Can you walk me through your installation process and how you started the game/acquired the weapon?

I also seem to be having issues with the Reloading sounds for the rifle.
I tried reinstalling the mod, and tried troubleshooting too but no results.
Even tried reinstalling the 900 RPM mod but that also doesn't work.
And i don't believe Ive got any other mods that could possibly be affecting the Reloading sounds?

The animations are pretty clunky but the model is amazing!
