Advice from @thomaslissner94 seemed to let it load up perfectly!
"To fix it disable the mod in the mod section, load in a map, press quit to got to the menu and then reenable it. it fixes it for me."

So if anyone is having troubles:
- Disable this mod specifically
- Load up a map
- Exit to main menu
- Re-enable this mod
- Load into the map again
