how to allow this to spawn prototech components i see a modded section just not sure how to use it?

torch plugin is in the description, and use chat commands for help, so you'll have to run torch DS app to get the plugin working

Yeah i figured as much too, but i cant find the other part of it. No damn instructions anywhere. Where is the other part of it? :/

I believe it requires both a torch plugin and this mod. The torch plugin implements the functionality. The mod provides the blocks. That said, I was never able to get it to work. Apparently some people have, so it must be my problem.

How do you actually use this? I downloaded the file, dragged it to Plugins and started the server. Its been loaded by it, but when i enter the game i cant use the commands, find the blocks or do anything with it.

Hi Shark. You probably want to use encampment mode for this since standard is entirely dependent on players.

You will need to change the allowed grids from Static only to all grids. this should be doable with a relatively easy hack.

In Core.cs line 51, 65 and 82 i am managing grid creation and removal. i have checks to ignore non-static grids and only deal with static grids. if you remove the static check and just let all grids count it should work the way you want.

Hi there! cool mod! I have a question though. I am working on a RTS scenario and want to use this mod, but i need to remove the caracter dependancy for controlling. Because its and RTS, the grids are not piloted and now nothing happens when a grid enters a point. What do i need to change in the script to remedy this? Tnx!

The time that the mod uses as a UTC reference point, is it UTC+3 or -3, or does it use the local time of the server that is currently running?

Yeah, when I try to use this it just gets stuck at -142% no matter who or what is in the zone regardless of settings.

This isn't working for me. Appears that communication between client and server is not completely functional. Changes made to the koth block do not persist if you log off and back on. Basically same thing @Tharsis said below.

Can you give us an update in the current state of the mod and when your team plan on updating it? In it's current state it doesn't seem to work on our torch server.Setting are only updating client side (from what I can tell)

I don't get many folks playing on the server during the same hours. Is there anyway to extend this mod to interact with NPC mods like Orks or Reavers (Modular Encounters) ? My thought was to create PVE capture zones... Maybe start my players out in a safe area like the earthlike and moon, but make capture points for MES on the other planets. Kind of like a PVE campaign mode almost?

When I set the opacity of the sphere to 0 alpha, it never stays like that. It always reverts back to 1 alpha upon world-save & reload, like 1 is the minimum allowable alpha instead of 0. And at 1 alpha, the sphere looks really strange through cockpit glass & safezones.

if the scripts are client side, they don't work on xbox as the platform doesn't allow scripts to run from client, only server side

Hello! Similar questoin as Blackwater. Is there any configuration to prevent a specific faction from capturing? Npc factions are capturing and thus spawning free loot in the box.

I recently got some logs from one of my staff members who was getting the "Error Loading World" message in single player.

Unfortunately, I cannot. I had to rebuild my server due to an unexpected loss of the server host. Any logs I had of connection issues were lost with it.

One of my staff members noted he was having reconnection issues in a local game after he added the KOTH mod. He suggested that I leave off the KOTH parts when I fired up the rebuilt server. I did just that and we were able to login, log out, and login again without having to exit and restart the client. We had removed the KOTH mod and the plugin.

I will have my staff member who noted the issues in his local game send me the relevant logs and I will forward them to you.

We determined on our server that having the mod + plugin was causing players to not be able to rejoin the server after exiting unless they closed the game client and restarted it. This has been going on for a more than a few months. We finally narrowed it down to this mod.

We have been getting the error "error loading world" with no discernible information in the logs. All they indicate the world was loading, then immediately starts unloading components of the process until it generates the error message.

I do not have any logs to submit as I had to recently restart my server due to host issues.

I found a discrepancy with the encampment mode: It requires a grid to be outputting power, so something needs to be consuming power for it to pass. The problem is the HUD does not seem to check this, so it continues to show an active faction, despite the grid not capping points. This should be clarified or update the HUD to reflect only factions with qualifying grids.

I also found the /koth force-load command seems to not do anything at all. If I change the score in the file then run that command it does not reflect the changes.

This mod is running on many servers without issue. i cannot help if i don't have the log file and a general description of your server setup.

Here are some things that would help me identify the issue:
Server Logs directly after a crash.
Is the crash happening on server start? if not when does it happen? Is it consistently reproducible?
is the server modded or unmodded? mod list?
Are you using custom items as rewards? what items?
What settings are you using that are not default?
