I was pretty tempted to model that one too btw ^_^
I suppose the intersecting composition makes sense given some photos that come up in the image searching where we see a cross-shapped building with longer step-like wings.
Maybe I should add you in my list of expert Soviet architecture consultants btw :P

The design was originally envisioned as a intersecting composition where several other block sections converge (that's why the outward facing sides are blind), but it was built only as single point blocks.
It can be mistaken for other forms of later series P with a vaguely similar configuration (P-22 and PD-3/22 in particular). :3
