If anyone else like me finds themselves here by happenstance scouring for solutions to integral issues with DD having CTD's, I hope you find your solace here.

I checked again, and I might be genuinely stupid, but what's the problem here?
In my mod list, "trinket_storage" is always 999, not 9999. So the first conclusion is, 999 can already support more than 1876 trinkets. This is obvious, since trinket_storage only affects the storage amount, not the computer memory limit of trinkets.
And after I enabled your mod, expand "trinket_storage" to 9999, I still cannot add more trinkets or items, in other words, it cannot break through "the overflow of trinkets+items".
Also according to the study, items occupies the same memory space of trinkets, did you mean the limit number 1786 is considered including the number of items?
