It is not compatible with flatscreen TVs because Eileen actually used the turned off screen texture for it.

love this mod! i love immersion in left 4 dead with realism and logic
it wouldn't make sense for a TV to just play static when this crisis is happening, there'd be an emergency broadcast going around to inform people

Its only playing on TV's that have static on them, could you make this work on all TV's?
Or is that a huge pain in the ass? Cuz I can understand not wanting to deal with file editing BS if that's the issue.

God, I remember as a kid seeing those tests and amber alerts, not to mention a tornado warning, especially when the sirens were going off throughout town. This brings back freaky memories.

From the video, it looks like there's no alert message. I just says that an alert has been issued and then loops, right?

I thought it might start to scroll an actual message up the screen, have a transmission glitch before the whole message is on screen, and /then/ loop.

i like the CEDA (FEMA + CDC) concept ingame, this adds alot and changes little! very nice realism/immersion mod!!:csgoa::csgostar:

FEMA deals more with natural disasters and other certain emergencies. The outbreak in the L4D2 world, for example, would be something FEMA would be responding to, along with the CDCP (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). It was just an idea, it would be more realistic, but CEDA works too, considering it's related to the game.

CEDA doesn't deal with disease only. They stand for: Civil Emergancy Defence Authority. They protect against ALL manmade disasters.

@Soarin' I have a question, so does FEMA deal with all emergencies like fires, storms, crime, disease, or does it only deal with certain emergencies? Like CEDA only deals with disease.

It would be amazing if someone made this mod but instead of CEDA with FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency). FEMA is pretty much CEDA from L4D2, except it's real. FEMA is part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Other than that, good mod! I like the idea.
