That sounds cool, LOS is kinda weird sometimes imo, maybe I didn't find the right scope but I tested it using the dwarf ranger outpost and I only got it to work on lords/agents starting their turn in that specific region when I wanted it to be more of an effect on the region itself. So I settled on just turning the overall LOS down in general. I think your approach will work better. Makes sense, too!

this was the thinking behind the Line of Sight changes to agents and lords (and over one's own province, which to me made far less sense,) though those occurred maybe a year and a half ago. I think the issue with line of sight and using agents to scout ahead is that it often takes quite a bit of time to be able to recruit more than your first hero. Without changing that, it functions only as a penalty on the player without any accompanying "fun" aspect of challenge (as opposed to tying one's arm behind one's back.) One option is to make LOS vary according to the type of agent, I've done that in my own mod. "Spy" types get more than any other character. Gotta test it out though.

I think the line of sight variable amount is hardcoded to a minimum amount but I've reduced it to as much as I could. Maybe a scripter could find a way to reduce them even further.

So on the campaign map for me to see what's close , I have to send scouts (army) to see whats going on?
