Let me explain, when I write "Since it is a variable from a primary table, no update will ever be needed.", it really mean what it is written. I will even bet that I could upload this mod from Shogun 2 to Warhammer 3 and it will work. CA would need to create an entirely new database to make it not work anymore. Because tower arc, fire rate, capture of keep and those are in a separate db from the rest of the game. Fatigue too, so all mods that modify ONLY fatigues values will never need to be updated.
