Where can I find a free crested bonedog?

anyone know why domesticated dogs from this mode seem to have random hp and growth rates. My bone mutt is growing at the same rate as a vanilla bone dog in my squad, but it has around 15-20 less hp across all limbs at the same age. Another thing I noticed is a crested bonedog in my squad growing like 2-3 times faster than all the other animals and also having the hp problem, but even more dir (it has less hp at age .70 than a bone dog at age .40) For context, I picked up the crested bone dog as a stray and bought the bone mutt as well as the vanilla dog form farmers. Would appreciate any type of explanation of this phenomenon and possible ways of fixing/editing it in the FCS perhaps

@Hoser, speaking of which, I was hoping to get your okay on an idea I'd like to include in said patch. One of the main aims of my Symbiosis mod is modelling niche partitioning between similar species to make them more distinct (such as giving Bonedogs a weapon bonus against goats while Boneyard wolves have one against bulls and garru instead) and I thought it would be cool to emphasize that with More Dogs. For example, a couple ideas I had was giving Bog Dogs a bonus to swim speed and a combat boost against Blood Spiders. Another was making Savannah Hounds the fastest of all the dogs seeing as they're based on African painted dogs. But I really don't want to compromise your and Opal's artistic vision in anyway so I wanted to run the idea by you before including such aspects in the patch.

@Arealla, I checked and your problem is a conflict between More Dogs and a mod of mine in the list: 'Symbiosis: An Animal Overhaul' which is lower in the Kaizo/Vanilla+ load order. Feel free to disable mine for now, I'm currently working on a compatibility patch between the two.

Finally installed this mod (along with the huge Kaizo/Vanilla+ list) but there seems to be a conflict with spawning. For example, the Mountain Dogs don't spawn Alphas (or weirdly, it spawns the Boneyard Dog Alphas instead), and Striped Hounds don't seem to spawn at all? Is there a way I could check in FCS to see if they are actually spawning, or are there any known conflicts with mods in the Kaizo list?

the new biodiversity is nice but had to uninstall because every pack of bonedogs always had one invisible bonedog which couldnt be killed and kept fighting my squad.

Can I get a stat list? Ive noticed that White wolf is stronger than Dune and bog for example but I wonder who is the Number 1

I'm having an issue with invisible dogs spawning. It was a fresh save encountering white wolves I believe in the grey desert, no model or texture loading but they exist and my squad was fighting them

@Skex Everywhere. Those are strays that will follow you for a lump of meat.. I think they're also sold by animal traders here and there across the world...

But why won't you keep your animals outside? Or get them a person that carries food in the backpack so they won't starve indoors? And also you could put your dogs in beds so their hunger level decreases...

can somebody point me to a mod that allows all animals, regardless of size, to enter any building? this mod is nice but my army of dogs go starve inside buildings, annoying.

Rest in peace Toothpaste, my BF and I’s crested bonedog. 200-300 days later and numerous visits from the canine traders and multiple personal trips to the traders in Shem and Dreg and not ONE crested bonedog as far as the eye can see. I would be ecstatic to have a Twothpaste to replace my beloved dog. Can any give me any pointers on where to find one?

Because it is a domesticated variant of the dog. Exactly this one is a stray. Thus it lives there near humans. There are two domesticated species of these dogs. One is white - the other one is black with white legs and white spots on it's fur.

@ReD2222 I actually just fiddled around with my first mod that makes the graveyard bonedogs just same in size as the starter dog :D

@Kipp I believe you have an option to catch such wolf and tame it via TameBeasties mod. (Just need to get a mod and a corresponding patch that covers these doggos)

Hey, I bought a boneyard wolf from a trader and he seems to be much, much smaller than the one I started with on the guy with a dog start. Where do I get dogs that are as big as the starter one?

Worlds End is the best place to buy a house in game because nothing ever happens there. This mod however changes that and place gets overun by mountain dogs. shopkeepers, librariars eaten. I play on max squad and population and maybe this is an issue.

This mod is amazing. However, it is a little annoying having to micromanage foraging for Alpha pelts in a mass of wolves.

Im pretty sure mountain dogs can spawn direcly in worlds end making live there hard for guards

You can do that yourself for your modified version of mod. Just place the mod in the Mods folder inside the game files folder so the mod tool will see it, then open the Mountain dog race and change it's max speed values (Just note that speed values is a little different from MpH values in the game itself. Example: Hivers have like 140-160 points which is much higher than humans etc.)
So I suggest comparing Mountain dog and Maned red wolf speed, so you'll have more or less accurate info on what you should adjust ^^ Take care! I hope you'll succeed

Is anyone making a speed patch for the dogs?
Got an adult mountain dog and its speed seems to be capped at 16miles which is kinda slow to be part of a squad in my opinion.
Shouldnt be op since the great maned wolves which have much higher health can run at 22 miles just fine.

Either you buy one with the Canine trader Nomad caravan OR you get Tame Beasties + More Dogs patch xD Thus you can capture doggos (even Alphas) - and you WANT to capture Alphas :)

this desperately needs a patch to work with the tame caged beasts mod that works for all vanilla beasts. I want me a pack of all the colors! Also not to be a buzzkill but you know the same guy who first came up with the concept of the Alpha later dubunked his own research, showing that the behavior is specific to captive wolves, and is basically the same thing that happens to humans in prison.

An elder matriarch would be the actual main leader of the pack. Much like how in a Lions Pride the lead female hunter is the actual leader.

There is also a great mod for BD that make the females have a double set of back fangs to identify male and female Bone Dogs. No idea if that syncs with this but would be amazing to get them to play nice together.

Definitely not - Maned Red wolves are much stronger than ordinary bonedogs for example. And larger by all means. Boneyard wolves too

Does all the dogs share the same stats?

Can they be added to a game without porting it to a new world?

I don't think the Savannah Hound Trophy is awarding the clothing pattern once completed, at least it's not for me. Other ones have worked so far (trying to collect all trophies, got 5 done as of today)

There you can get a backpack mod for doggos, or you'll have to throw food on the ground. OR you can put your animals with one person who wields a backpack with food on their back - so they'll basically feed your dogs. (With ANY food) Tee-hee :3

How do I feed the dogs? I tried placing animal feeders down and they wont take the food off of them

@Darkir You can either wait for Nomad Dog trader to visit your outpost or capture a doggo manually with the TameBeasties patch. More chances if you settle in the Mountain dogs area of residence. I suggest TB option though. Cause it just feels better to make your prey a loyal companion that will fight for you and kill for you.
