Actually, just finished a mission involving the lost and brought back 33 corpses... So, not sure why now I get them, but earlier missions I didn't? Maybe the type of mission?

Um, yes. Something in your mod setup is not giving you lost corpses on a mission.
Try getting the lost world dark event to get lost on more mission types. Or check your modlist.... sorry I can't help further...

I had already switched to Unit Flag Extended before using this mod, so no idea.

If you can't get Tactical Information Overhaul working, try UFE -- it not only works with this mod, but has integration. If the solid bar look of TIO is what you're after, try messing with the segment sizes in UFE. I haven't tried myself but a single segment setting should look pretty similar.

I'm sorry you seem to have had such a bad experience with this mod that it limited your mental capacity to write a decent and fulfilling constructively critical response. When you recover from your brain damage please feel free to write, what part of this mod sucks and detailed reasons why. Hopefully I can then actually investigate some of your complaints and issues and improve the mod for everyone.

Until then I hope you enjoyed wasting minutes of you day to make such a huge 3 word contribution to society, and I hope for a quick and expedient recovery to your mental condition.

I had been thinking that the event listener needed to be changed, that's where it checks and bails out if a unit is mind controlled. But yeah, taking the shadows out of the config is easier. It would mean anything shadowbound is not obfuscated, but I can't think of a situation where you'd want them to. Either it is XCom (never obfuscated), a human 3rd party (never obfuscated), or maybe a mind controlled Advent (if they even can get shadowbound). Even with a mind controlled Advent, you see their stats once they are mind controlled, so it makes sense for that shadow's stats to be shown too.

tldr: yeah, taking the shadowboundunit entries out of the config makes sense and is easy to do. Thanks!

Yes, that seems like an oversight, I'm not sure how to fix that. The easiest solution is to remove the ShadowbindUnit from the config.

Yes. The way the UFOPedia works is a new unit is created and added to the "bestiary barracks". This unit is a fresh creation from the template, so it will be the default before changes from things like Enemy Reskinner. It should in theory be a "clone" of the unit you killed, but there are so many mods I just can't predict every combination.

Bug report (I think): if a spectre shadowbinds one of your units, but the autopsy hasn't been done yet, the shadow is obfuscated. I assume this is unintentional since a mind controlled friendly is never obfuscated.

By the way, I think the UFOpedia 3D entries' displayed models are their template-set ones, and not the ones set in Enemy Reskinner.

Like I implied yesterday, it isn't a deal-breaker by any means. If finding a fix isn't worth the effort, so be it. "Known issue" I suppose. I saw the setting marked "don't uncomment this setting!" which, on the surface, seems like it might fix it, but I assume it would break something else so I didn't even experiment with it.

Really cool mod, and I love the integration with UFOpaedia/beastiary.

I found a case where things aren't working as intended. Lost are unlocked based on being on the Lost team, so their templates are never checked. In the UFOpeadia/beastiary, they aren't on the Lost team and there are no settings for their templates, so they are always unlocked there.

It's definitely not a big problem, just making you guys aware.

Thought this would be cool but LWOTC really doesn't give you opportunities to get corpses so months of the game and onwards are just locked F1 menus. Muton Harriers and Co. I've gone out of my way to grab corpses but they just yield basic Muton corpses and despite autopsying them I haven't had Harrier's or anything unlock their info. Lovely idea and makes a LOT of logical sense (especially like the Encounters based knowledge for the Chosen), but not for LWOTC's corpse economy and probably shall just remove.

As far as I know LWotC still has the ADVENT MEC Breakdown Research, this is what you will need to be able to see MECs, and the LWotC Drones have their own autopsy/break down.

I'm sorry I don't play LWotC to help you any further, but there has been no mention of issues from people using this alongside LWotC on the discord.

Hi, in LWOTC I can not see mechanical units, such as Drone and MEC.
There are corpses of these creatures, but for some reason I can't make an autopsy or did it earlier, just disassembled resources. PLZ help me! :sadpug:

Yes, that actually comes from the YAF1 Colour Profiles mod

Go to that mods XComGame.ini and set 'SHOW_LOOT_MESSAGE' from true to false

You need to decide then what tech/autopsy should unlock information about that Frost Legion unit, and add the unit's template to the correct autopsy :)

If the frost legion has no autopsies this then becomes a personal choice. I had to do this alot with the current config, but I tried to follow what was reasonable and logical, ie: Viper Enemies to the viper autopsy.

Yes you can add any enemies you want into the config :) This is one reason I did it this way, in case I can't update. I'm just massively burned out from modding xcom2.

You should have plenty of examples in the config of what needs to be added and how. Just keep in mind that any edits you do make will get overwritten when I eventually get around to updating the mod for those units :)

As long as it finds X enemy and Y Autopsy complete it will show the screen. It if can't find X enemy then it shows the screen. ... ... I will admit, I .. may... have forgotten to ensure a Y autopsy exists... (assuming if X enemy exists then their autopsy will too) ... um... something to check on for version 1.1... lol

To be safe, either remove the enemy (eg ArmouredViper) or ensure it has an entry for an Autopsy you DO have in your game :)

Yes if those autopsies don't exist they should be ignored. You might want to move the template names into another autopsy (I think the Venator is already in the codex, but you'll want to put the ArmoredViper into the normal AutopsyViper)

In the cases of the enemy Character Template Name not being found in the config, then the YAF1 information will be displayed, so your other option is to remove entries for them entirely.

The code looks up the Enemy Units Template Name, finds it the config.. cross checks the Autopsy name(s) it is registered against, and then checks if any of those Autopsies are complete.

This looks like a great idea but I'd appreciate a bit of clarification.

If an AutopsyName is not present then it is ignored as a requirement for displaying information in YAF1, correct?

So... I have the Venator in my game but not Black ICE Codex, therefore this requirement will be ignored?

I have also edited some enemy mods to remove their unique corpse drops (I think most autopsy rewards are OP). For example, the Armored Viper drops a standard Viper corpse.

So, this will be ignored too?
