I think it has to do with ReGrowth change the name of their hotspring defs, although I am not entirely sure. Regardless, I get the following errors that you may want to look into:

Has anyone tested the 1.3 version on 1.4? It might still work.
Also, is this safe to add mid-save?
Go into the patch file inside of its folder: 2367488641\ModPatches\Regrowth\Patches\RegrowthTerrain.xml
Rename "ReGrowthCore" with "VFECore". That's it.
(I've tried to put together an XML patch myself, but for some reason I can't get it to override the values properly.)
While the "deep water" portions of this mod are functional, they have oddities that I haven't been able to lock down yet. I occasionally take a glance to see if I can figure out something new, and while I've made progress, I'm not sure I will ever get that feature working quite like it was before 1.3.
