If - for some reason - the server boots up without the ADC mod in place, everything that is packed into the ADC will not load in, hence everything that is placed upon compressed placeables (like something on a table) will loose stability.
The same goes for removing building parts (like a floor) under compressed stuff (like a carpet), as funcoms genius building system might pickup the collector (even if it should not be able to!).
Both cases are pretty rare with the last one borderlining a "user error".
Is there truth to this? Are there mitigations we can put in place?

But about the building pieces: I'm not sure if we're on the same page on that.
What I thought of is an ADC that snaps to building pieces instead of being a placeable itself to benefit from the greater rendering distance. Right now my fortress renders way further than the ADC-collected rocks around its foundations. I actually have to get rather close to it before the rocks appear. If the ADC was instead linked to the building, the instanced Rocks should become visible at the same distance as the building itself - or atleast that's my theory. As I said, I don't have any Idea if this even works that way.
While playing around with it I came up with a few ideas and wanted to ask what you think about them.

Happens to me all the time. Especially annoying for me because I tend to hide the ADC, which often makes it exhaustingly hard to reach.

As I make heavy use of terraforming items (rocks, cliffs, trees, etc), I find it often a tad distracting to see the tooltip pop up if I pass by a tree.

I have absolutely no clue if this is even possible, but I noticed that buildings have a far greater rendering distance, than placeables (atleast on my end). So I came up with the idea of an ADC, that connects with buildings and might therefore be visible from an equally great distance.

don't work today, but it worked some day ago on our dedicated server
As there are some limits on what can be compressed, other mods will be added from time to time.
Would it currently be "safe" to use or is it still fairly experimental with potential risks?
