Was thinking up a "weather war" type scenario to host using the Winter Tanoa map, but the CSAT (East) forces are Chinese. Wanted to stay consistent with the "Old Man" canon.

(And frankly, the Syndikat gangsters just look silly running around in the snow in shorts and sandals.)

Awesome work! And on the NATO winter uniform mod as well.

We've been playing some winter scenarios recently and enjoyed having proper kit for the environment.

Would it be possible to either expand this mod to include the CSAT East faction, or perhaps create a separate CSAT East Winter Faction?

Viper suits seemed to have same armor value as normal CSAT camouflage suits, does anyone have same issue as mine?

Cool mod but the special characters in your mod title mess it up server-side. The "|" character gets reverted to a "-".
Id request renaming to something like "CSAT Winter Faction STA G Drunken"

Wondering if there is anyway i could talk the maker into making a TFAR support mod for this for camo's the lack of CSAT camo in TFAR is kind of sad.

The dependencies are listed as "REQUIRED DLC" on the workshop page.

Please add a note regarding the dependencies. Not having used CSAT before I laid out a whole op for Viper before being told that the the DLC dependencies are inherited.

the "clothing" on a unit in arma 3 is actually the units texture itself. The folded uniform is also a 3d model with a texture. It is defined in cfgWeapons and the base class is Uniform_Base. Bohemia calls it "suitpack"

Really nice looking mod great detail and lore friendly the camo blends so well in a winter environment. Just a quick question as i am trying to make a reskin mod of my own for my unit. If you could how do you get the clothing to turn into the skinned folded version when it is dropped on the floor i am having trouble figuring this out and it has been bugging me for a few weeks now and i cant seen to find any documentation on it anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Hello @mallinga - indeed, as stated below we would like to use this excellent mod of yours on our server, and while being the very lst piece of our puzzle, this one did not generate its bikey- could you look into this one as well so we can add it to the whitelist.

This would be great and help us in placing the very last tile in our mosaic!

@mallinga --- I checked out your CSAT mod today and the only thing I can say about it is EXCELLENT WORK. Finally we can now throw the shitty Snow Tiger mod in the trash. If you can remember, I asked you a couple of weeks ago if you were planning an AAF version. You said NO back then, but I hope you will reconsider, because you obviously know what you are doing. I know that this is a lot of work, so I would like to give you an AAF_WINTER.pbo that a good friend started texturing years ago. The only thing missing is the DLC vehicles because the Tank DLC didn't exist back then. Otherwise everything is already there. If you are interested, please let me know. Of course, you can upload the mod as AFF_WINTER by Mallinga, or whatever. Regards SPECI

The small hex variant is exactly what you'd want for urban warfare. You should name it 'Winter/Urban' because it is exactly that.

Cos i just find out that Special Purpose Suit has stats of regular Fatigues, but vanilla's SP Suits are more protective.
Also added Tac. Vests have stats of Police Tac. Vest (i mean CSAT's units use others vests that has a bit worse protection). Same with NATO's Tac. Vest from your NATO Winter Faction addon.
Would be great if you made SP Suit like the original ones and Tac. Vests like the usuals' for CSAT and NATO but not a police one.
Btw thanks for addon. Actually made me and my friends play winter maps.

@phantom the mod uses all available csat assets, so you need the dlcs that still require ownership to use their assets afaik

Very nice mod, might actually get me to play on winter maps.

Also one thing I can see being interesting would be the ASP-1 Kir with a snow version.
I also wonder if there would be a chance of winter CAR-95s and CMR-76 (maybe a Chinese CSAT Winter faction)

@ExodusReaper cup chernarus winter, snow storm script by ALIAScartoons, hopefully cup maps 2.0 will include a winter version in the future
