Hey, so, I followed the guide for the HQ MP5 sounds and they WORK, but it plays a really weird screeching sound after I fire a shot... any fix for that? I made a comment before but I deleted it because I thought I'd fixed it, then it came back.

Go to where Left 4 Dead 2 is installed and open gameinfo.txt inside the left4dead2 folder. Scroll down to where it says SearchPaths. At the very top of the list, there should be a Game path named "mp5navy_sound_cache." Also, check if the folder named "mp5navy_sound_cache" is in the Left 4 Dead 2 folder (same location as left4dead2_dlc1).
If "mp5navy_sound_cache" is not in gameinfo.txt, or if the "mp5navy_sound_cache" folder is not in the Left 4 Dead 2 folder, open "2272483057.vpk" from the addons folder and extract both "left4dead2" and "mp5navy_sound_cache" folders from the vpk.

Mod works great! The weapons sound way better with this then using Refined CSS guns. No bugs!

great mod, works well with the refined CSS weapon mods: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2500225097 . I can't believe they just put CSS weapons into the game without adjusting them to l4d2 standards, at least there are mods to fix this crap.

i've updated the mod so by default, the MP5 gunfire sounds will be low quality unless you do the advanced way of getting HQ MP5 sounds

all weapons have the same sound (except mp5)
