yep...steam is sometimes ass with workshop file management. the good ol unsub and resub usually works

Seems like I had to real quickly undownload and then redownload it out of the game, it's showing up as updated now.

In Rimpy someone would have to make a custom rule for it. I see no errors or warnings. Its entirely that user having the issue. Likely due to their own configuration in Rimpy. Or their mod files for this mod are not updated.

Im also running Rimpy and Im not seeing that issue at all. There is no flag or notice. Might be a setting of your own in Rimpy for this mod.

I did check the About folder, and the dependency section was a comment, so I think its either an outdated rule in Rimpy or the loadAfter...

Weird. I definitely removed the dependency in About. can you check if Steam actually downloaded the new version? sometimes it's finicky. If so I'll reupload it with the loadAfter removed too

Rimpy still says this mod requires Project Rimfactory Revived... but in-game it seems to be working fine!

Updated to 1.4 - no changes were required.
- PRF is now optional. PRF recipe patches still included.
- Now buildable/craftable with any combination of vanilla, PRF and/or EMM installed, but no extra mods are required.
- Research cost halved (was 200k research points, now 100k)
- Research now requires multi-analyser research (you needed a multi-analyser to research this to begin with, so it basically changes nothing but looks nicer on the research tree)

Ya know, I was thinking last night of redoing my original for 1.4 to remove materials since it's not updating to 1.4, but you beat me to it. :steamthumbsup:

Sure, it's possible. I'd just need to figure out what the recipe would be without electronic chips and machine frames, and what research it would be under without archotech weaponry. Then swap over the existing research/recipes to be used when PRF is on.

1.5 years later, I know Im late to the mod lol. But if you are still around, is there a way to allow this without Project Rimfactory at all? I just want the turret haha

I just checked it again and I don't receive this error on both a fresh list with just this and rimfactory, and my current 50+ mod save. PRF_Copper is not referenced at all in this mod, so it must be from another mod you have enabled. You can check the defs yourself if you want. Just make sure you aren't using some other mod that needs PRF Materials.

that's why it doesn't require the original as a dependency. since I assume the last person had this problem too I suppose I can clarify what a fork is in the description. though it doesn't appear that any of the big fork mods have needed to do that

there is no reference to those materials in this mod, the entire point is that I overwrote them. are you sure that you haven't actually installed the other version instead? this is a fork, not a patch. it is to be used instead of railgun weaponry, not with it

oh! you mean if Daemon wanted to give his version a patch? nah, it says in the original description that he wasn't going to remove the dependency. he gave me permission to distribute an edited version.

oh, I tried doing it as a patch initially, but it simply didn't work without having PRF materials installed because it was still looking for the dependency. :<

@Holgast - If you are interested, you could talk to Daemon248947 (or whatever the numbers are) on our discord if you two would like to work out some Patch system that adjusts the costs based on whether PRF-Materials is installed. (I always prefer fewer almost-the-same mods when possible ;) )

Rimfactory Materials is a different mod which you can see in the dependencies of the original mod I linked.
