@AtomicLiquorice that is... such a simple fix haha! I'll have to redownload my files to mess with them a bit, though I'm not sure when I might be able to do that. I haven't played kenshi in a good long while, but you're welcome to make a patch for it in the meantime for the community to use.

@AtomicLiquorice I think you should make a patch mod yourself, this mod is too old so the author may not be around to patch it up, i do hope im wrong, cause i dont wanna add too much sub mod to my list

@paperkut808 I'm really late to the party, but I found the fix for the issue with the icons. However the engine is looking at it, it doesn't like that the icons folder isn't in the main mod folder. I moved it out of the "Iron Shields" and "Plank Shields" folders and into the "Shields of Kenshi" folder and then adjusted the file path for the icons through FCS and it worked.

@Ciaphas Cain, I went and looked into the shields data, all of the belt slotted shields should be equipable by all races, but the belts that are in the shirt slot, are most likely restricted to races that can wear shirts. Hivers as far as I know can't do, so you'll need to either buy one at a vendor, or build one from the shield assembly bench

@Ciaphas Cain, the hivers were all restricted races by the original mod authors. I didn't really mess with any of their settings, but I imagine it would be an easy fix to open that up to all races, just need to go tweak a few things. Anything for the vaunted hero of the Imperium!

@Greasy, if there was a way to spawn the belt version, I would have absolutely done it. For whatever reason, the lanterns have a different set of rules (something to do with them have physics, but a few others have tried to make that work to no avail as far as I know) so there is no way to replicate that, at least with my skill set.

As for the icons, I have no idea what is going on with that. In the original mod Iron Shields +, the icons would render just fine. For some reason, after literal WEEKS of poking around FCS, I still dont know what I did wrong or different, as I tried to touch as little as possible from the orignal modders work. I am happy to have anyone with the know how to dig around in the mod and see what may be causing this, but I am at a loss for the time being. I'll keep looking though, at least that much I can say.

I play with Genesis, so there is a lot there that may alter who spawns where, but also there is a mod called Racial Diversity (formerly multirace bandits). Heres the link
