the mod does not work even with what is required for it to work not a bug at all?

Question, I been messing with the XComClassData.ini and manage to equip AutoPistols, but it dose not seem to proc the Akimbo's double attack that it usually would when using normal pistols.
Is it possible to do proc the double attack with AutoPistols ?

Also tried adding the "Killer Flow" ability from Mitzruti's Perk Pack, it dose proc that ability with AutoPistols

dawfydd : you dont need them . lwotc already have a new promotion creen and primary secondaries is also included

This requires shadow ops perk pack which requires an outdated promotion screen, and secondary weapons which conflicts with long war, and Lw2 classes and perks which requires those two things also.

I've been trying to get this to work but its like one thing requires five requires 4 requires 3.. lol and conflicts cause issues.

A real shame because the Akimbo class normal mod doesn't well either :(

Review:

Akimbo is pretty good as a class.
They are an alternative to the ranger.

Pro:
Backup chip damage if needed.
Single target menace if firing twice in a turn.
Double munition procs * 2 = 4 procs.
Good from any range.

Con:
Relies on pistol tier.
Countered by armor unless using AP ammo.
AOE only very late in upgrades.

Hey i just wanted to point out that your mod adds Slam Fire from Shadow Ops as a tier 4 perk to xcom row abilities, but that perk doesnt have pistols listed in the valid weapons, so the akimbo cant use that perk

It may just be me starting out and not using it in LW2, but i dont get why people are saying this class is weak. Will test some more, but so far this guy’s absolutely busted strong early/mid game

Is it possible to to use your class mods like this one without having Shadow Ops Perk Pack override the default LWOTC classes?

In the latest version of LWOTC, I've noticed that the gunslinger perk (8-tile radial overwatch) doesn't work on any of my akimbo classes. I'm not sure if that's an Akimbo issue or Lwotc issue though.

Is trick shot supposed to be suffering from the range penalties on pistol? Never noticed it do that before but its giving me less hit chances than if I were to just use a normal attack

I noticed unload is busted. Would appreciate it if it was fixed.

@xendax Yeah this version of the class is just completely butchered. Not only is this version weak but its taken away its main gameplay features.

unload isn't working properly ( instead of taking 6 shots , enemies will receve just one time the dmg)

The balancing of the class for LWOTC nerfed their ranged abilities such that they are not really useful and turned them into a melee class ... which I agree makes very little sense. I never liked using the Scrapper melee abilities beyond the blade storm equivalent. I'll admit that the base WOTC or RPGO Akimbo is probably a little overpowered, which is why I loved using them as uber overwatch specialists. They are disappointing to me in LWOTC and may have been a little over-nerfed

I agree cannot change the primary weapon so I gave up on this mod.

Cant Fix the primerary weapon its stuck to a normal pistol and i cant change it at any cost

This class seems confused and underperforms. A traditional sniper with pistol perks is easily more useful than this class, and the melee options seem... confused for what's supposed to be a dual-wielding pistol class. The concept scores high in cool points, but severely underperforms vs any other class- I can't think of one it's even on par with. Maybe it'd be helpful to ditch the melee aspect entirely and focus on pistols. Really want this class to work for me, but I'm never glad I brought an akimbo along for any mission.

I cannot seem to equip any primaries, the AML registers no missing dependencies and it all seems to be completely fine there. Is there any new incompatibilities or something?

Community Promotion Screen is compatible with and required by LWotC.

If it requires the original akimbo class, then it clashes with WotC Longwar, since the original akimbo class requires [WOTC] Community Promotion Screen, which is no longer compatible with WotC Long War

Got all the required mods running, but my Akimbo classes don't seem to use any ammo. Weapon upgrades also only apply to the pistol in the primary slot. Any way to fix those?

Why wouldn't I use it? Kiruka decided to include perks from other mods, so she set them up as dependencies. After all, those perk packs are used in many of her LWotC mods, so people who use more of her work probably already subscribed to those perk mods.

why did you make a far reaching class overhaul mod a requirement for this minor rebalance

I am not sure where this issue is coming from. might be here, might be true primary secondaries, might be the original akimbo mod. all I know is sometimes when my soldier gets wounded he unequips the secondary pistol (which is fine) but then when I want to equip a laser pistol again it sometimes just consumes it into the void and it's gone forever and im left with a standard pistol in the secondary slot until I craft a new laser pistol.

I took a detailed look at class template to check ability growth of the class, and found Akimbo gains 5pts of Will at squaddie rank but none at higher ranks, making it the class with the lowest Will. I believe it should gain another 5pts at LCPL (2nd rank), according to other LWOTC class templates at least.
Other stats seem reasonable to me :)

I keep getting a glitch where the UI disappears after promotion to this class, I can only see the armory background and cannot proceed from this point. This only occurs with this class.

Faceoff skill no longer has double shots like it did in the old Akimbo. The game calculates the damage as if there are two shots, but only one shot is ever fired. I've tested it, and with the old Akimbo face off fired twice showing two hit/miss notification per target. This mod only shows one hit/miss notification and the damage dealt on a hit is the damage of a single pistol.

Any idea how to fix this?

How would I go about adding the standard pistol overwatch to Akimbo?

Does faceoff skill make shot at each enemy using both pistols or only one?

It happens to me just the same that @Karlo in the Franz. No overwatch and a third ability not showing properly in the armory. Any clue about this? Thanks in advance.

My akimbo was promoted to the Brigadier level, and has no options to select.

Pistol overwatch seems to be completely non existent atm for my akimbo soldiers. The hotkey doesn't work and there's no button for it on the tab. Additionally I think it shows some glitched text for whatever the third initial ability of theirs is supposed to be in the armory.

Curiously i updated to dev 27.3 of lwotc today and my lag issue at least for now is gone… will update if it returns with further gameplay

Im also getting lag spikes (and often my games goes "not responding" when moving an akimbo soldier.

I use modjam/lwotc, and have every listed mod here or related mod.

I do not think it's working though because none of my new guys are getting akimbo.

Or I have a mod I should not have on.

Might as well make this for the normal LWWOTC class mod or something

nvm it seems the abilities I mentioned below actually do check gameplayvisiblitycondition in code. So add those lines probably don't do anything...

Just wondering: Would adding the following lines in XComLW_Overhaul.ini alleviate the lag issues when moving Akimbo class soldier?

Then again even with the codes above. I still experienced lag in game, just not as severe as before. I wonder what other multi shot abilities I missed. I tried a mission without akimbo class soldiers, and there is just minor lag. So the main lag is caused by akimbo skills I think...

So it looks like as of LWOTC Dev 26 release the Akimbo can no longer use pistol overwatch on conventional pistols (and I believe mag, was not able to test Beam). Oddly enough they can overwatch with Laser (have not tested with coil).

I think the changes made to the way LWOTC pistols work might have caused some issues with the class.
