It's probably the material shader I set for the textures just acting weird. I wouldn't worry much about it since it seems like that's just how it works in viewmodels.

Actually, for some reason, placing a camera with the toolgun while the context menu is open it just fixes itself

The hands sometimes becomes some other texture, like the phys gun or the toolgun

Are you aware of the workshop changes that GMOD implemented a while ago? Addons are saved to steam's workshop folder instead of directly in gmod's addon's folder.

hey i was trying to extract the models here to turn them into a vrchat player model but the addon doesnt appear in my files. I even uninstalled all my mods and redownloaded them to make sure but it still didnt show up. the player model works in game 100% as it should but i cannot find this in my files at all.

Big one I can think of is TDA Shadow Miku by CaptainBigButt, who is the person that not only discovered the shading trick but also the Proportion Trick.

Not really, the effect is done at compile-time of the model. What exactly is it screwing up? Doubt I can fix it, but I'm curious.

Not sure what to tell you, it's working completely fine on my end if it's the only addon enabled or not. I'd suggest you take the usual workshop troubleshooting steps (reinstall it, clean your addons, etc.) & if it still doesn't work then some other addon is conflicting with it, though since I named the folders based on the model maker that shouldn't happen.
