Let me know if putting back original files makes it work. Im sure it will. You can always make th sounds you wanted into a mod so yo dont have to manually replace them.

What you don't understand the game loads and expects all files to be the exact same in the folders then it loads the add-ons. When you are using the add-ons with the altered sounds you put in the folders the add-ons wont work properly because the addon expect it to be the original files. Causing an error.

You should never ever change the sounds in the folders, its probably causing the error.

The reload sounds are manually installed. I think they were from an old file from l4d 1. They work off of l4d 2. That I know. I test everything out before I start playing making sure I dont get screeching sounds or bugs (purple character pixels) while in game.

Manually installed? Did you change the sounds in the valve folders? The re-load sound for the magnum and pistols is the same. I just recently found this out when doing sound for re-load.

The magnum mod is just a skin with some custom animations. The firing sound is seperate. As for the reloading sounds those were manually installed. Same for the normal pistols.

Videos take too long to make. 2 minute videos take like 10 minutes to convert to a size where i can upload to youtube Then 10 more minutes to upload onto youtube. For almost 100 mods? Yeah no thanks, too much time.

It shouldn't screech. My mods do not screech, I edit sounds. Im goood at it lol. Is it when you fire a bullet or re-load? Do you have a custom sound mod on? If you do, turn it off.

I love this mod but everytime I use it, some screeching sound comes out. I used the console commands (snd_rebuildaudiocache) and quit the game. Still does that screeching sound. I just cant seem to find anyway to fix it. I even dragged it into the normal addons folder instead of workshop. Didnt work.

The way this works is the laser sight is a silencer, just cleverly made to look like a laser light. We like to do mods for fun, even though they may be unrealistic at times lol.

Just for fun, most mods have things that aren't functional. Like holographic sights or ACOG scopes. Hand Grips. Silencers.
