According to the in-game captions which describes the Thunderclap scene:
"A marine tries to call in fire support from nearby artillery, but the Marine in artillery tells him that he is no longer in a position to support them. Heavy combat is heard in the background."
So Thunderclap isn't meant to be an Apache unit, but artillery...

Not sure what you mean. Thunderclap is the air support, so I gave his radio a helicopter background.

I think the first one should have a chopper/jet background, because i think it was supposed to be air support in form of an Apache or Harrier. (Most likley Apache.)
