In your XML folder (for those with BNW, it's located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization v\Assets\DLC\Expansion2\Gameplay\XML\GameInfo) open up the CIV5Eras XML file.
Under "ERA_ANCIENT", which should be the first era settings entry, find this line:
<StartingWorkerUnits>0</StartingWorkerUnits>
Change it to
<StartingWorkerUnits>1</StartingWorkerUnits>
Save and exit the file, and your game should now give you a starting worker by default when you start in the Ancient era. Keep in mind that this will break multiplayer compatibility.
FYI - if you want to change any of your "starting loadout", you can modify each of these lines:
<StartingDefenseUnits>1</StartingDefenseUnits>...this is your starting warrior
<StartingWorkerUnits>0</StartingWorkerUnits>...self explanatory
<StartingExploreUnits>0</StartingExploreUnits>...this would be your scout
<StartingGold>0</StartingGold>...you can start with gold!
<StartingCulture>0</StartingCulture>...you can start with culture!
Hope it helps! One last piece of advice... if you ever do modify the game's base files, make a copy of the original before you do so just in case you need to revert back quickly.
This has been asked before, alas, no answer has been given, so I'll ask again: Does this mod provide a starting worker to the player ONLY, or to ALL CIVS in play?
I love the idea of not having to build your 1st worker, but I hate the idea of cheating on the AI.

for large and giant maps
If you could I want speed. I want a +2 Movement to every army , even the civ ones if that is possible. and a +2 or +4 movement to embark would be good as well.
and give 250% to 300% movement to ships, and civ ships, in another mod.
Thx m8!
