The 1x1x1 small grid collector is just what i needed, but how can it collect and store the same amount as the vanilla 3x3x3 version?

Maybe a version with more collector sides, say in a "C" about one face with the conveyor ports on the other "C"? That way I can place it on the ground with a plate corral around it and grab all the stone I drill until I have the material for a base drill?
