@Unowninator: I guess you are talking about pushing the button in the computer room through the grate to drop the sphere. That's totally cool to me (did that myself during playtesting) - the other option would be more running for no further benefit.

Not sure if this an intended solution, but you can push the button to drop a sphere from the other side of the grating.
