Its not toast.. But it's acceptable.

I have a hunch where that comes from. In the texture the very rim of the bread is vaguely blurred and darker in addition to the already kind of low resolution. A lot of the game's original textures were made from rather simple photos, so the darkening is most likely the bread's own shadow, or light getting lost towards the surface it's sitting on.

Either way, canonically it is not moldy, it is safe to eat, and "not complained about" - despite coming from unknown origins within the Zone.

Alas, I can try messing with the texture, but I'm afraid it'll just look worse than it already does, or that it won't change anything at all. Best you avoid this item should you have some phobia of mold, and instead hope for a better one to come along.

On mine, it looks all green and moldy at the bottom. If you look in the screenshot above (I assume it's your screenshot), the bottom edge of the bread looks greenish/dark like mold.

It should not be moldy. I can't see any mold on the texture itself either. Might be some shader or coincidence.

(p.s. I've never played the "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. video game, and never will. Not my kind of game.)

Is it supposed to be moldy? :( I was really hoping for a nice loaf of bread for realism, but moldy bread is not a thing in the houses I design. If that was the intention, guess I'll keep waiting.
