I haven't tested this yet, but I think changing the xpath like this would probably work.

The mod definitely does what it says, however it's worth noting that it doesn't limit its effect to "boom critters" only. Every single creature that normally has canBePredatorPrey set to false for any reason will have that switched to true. This includes the Gauranlen dryads from Ideology which are normally not targeted by predators.

Would be cool if there was a setting to give boom critters an effective body size offset for the purposes of predator hunting eligibility, so large predators (which can almost always survive the explosion) hunt boom animals, but small predators won't kill themselves hunting boomrats.

@Alexander The Great, sorry, missed the comment. But yes, it's a catch all that should apply to any animals that are explosive, even from mods.

@Alexander The Great Considering that velcroboy refers to the affected animals as "boom critters" and links to the version of Boom Mod that includes all animals that go "Boom!" I'd call it a safe bet to say "yes".

Ah, never mind. I see this mod patches the <canBePredatorPrey> tag so all such animals become potential prey. In contrast, 'Boom Boom Is Prey' individually patches the Boomrat, the Boomalope, as well as the BoomBat ("Vanilla Animals Expanded — Australia" mod).

Also... I see that this mod performs a whopping stealth nerf to the MAGA Hat (not sure what mod this is from) without telling anybody.

Oh my god, we have so many boomrats and the predators keep trying to hunt us instead. Maybe this'll help.

Hopefully this, with another mod to increase the predators that spawn on the map, will help deal with my boomrat problem. Thanks to the mod that allows them to reproduce in the wild I have maybe a hundred or so spawning all over the place. I need something to help weed them out. So thanks for the mod.

Attention: I will absolutely be updating all my mods to 1.3. I want to take the time to look at the new code first in order to make sure the code changes are implemented correctly for the new version, as well as make any balance changes, and to implement any relevant new features into my mods,

The upcoming week is going to be busy for me already as the busy season for my real job is just beginning and goes pretty heavy through the fall and holiday season. But I will try to find the time as soon as I am able. My goal is to have all my mods ready for the official release in a couple weeks.

note I will be maintaining support for 1.2 after the update to 1.3 but I a have already moved on from 1.1 or older, so, those versions will not be maintained unless they are naturally compatible.

This mod does fit in well with mods that make boom-critters not explode if dying from non-fire melee/pre-gunpowder weapons
