I took a stab at something like that and was unable to make it work. It's either un-doable or beyond my abilities. This is the best I can offer.

hmm, would appreciate a version that performs this function when enabled with other mods that way I can use it in my current modpack that includes a 1.1 mods that work just fine and it'd automatically spot them and go "hey, you're 1.2 now"

It updates the supported version of the mod which eliminates the yellow errors.

This mod does all the things you want it to and explosion of rainbows and puppies are kind of distracting metaphors. Good work velcroboy.

It seems like this is designed to either update the version pointer or stop the game from spitting out alerts.

Made an adjustment so patches won't break. It's not 100% but should be close. If a patch does still break, see the author of the patch.

You do not need to enable this mod. Nothing will happen.
