I'm sorry to hear that. For me it was unlocked then on this map.
Could you check your in-game statistics, if there was some activity in any other field then trains?

I didn't get any achievements even though I let it run to 2050.

I used about 100 USA-Style mods to make this as realistic for the desert as possible, and i rebuilt the entire rail network

Thank you! There literally no savegames on the workshop that let the player just fill in the mods themselves!
