I got it working again. Go into the mod folder (Launcher -> SE Humans 2 -> Show in Folder) then open the gfx\portraits\portraits folder, then open 90_portraits_human.txt in Notepad. Do a Find and Replace (SHIFT-H) and replace "hair_selector" with "attachment_selector" (no quotes). Do this with 99_portraits_humannoid_synthetics.txt as well. Back up both files beforehand, just to be safe.

We need a hero to pick this back up and update it

"Attachment" is what it's called. That which I believe replaced "Hair". Should be as simple as changing the term in the files themselves. I hope it gets updated soon. If at all.

Will this mod be getting an update soon? The recent update to the game changed "hair" to "feature" or something like that and it bugged out a lot of portrait mods. I'm sure it's a simple change and I could do it manually but me am dumb and don't want to break anything.

Honestly, it's a little annoying how little care most portrait mods get. Like the fact that most of them are five versions behind. Really frustrating. This is one of the few that has stayed near up to date.

@AK-47MS @essi2 The hair_selector variable name is different from the previous version, so the hair is not visible. Download the mod manually, open the "90_portraits_human.txt" file under the "se_human2\gfx\portraits\portraits" folder, replace all "hair_selector" with "attachment_selector", save and play. (If you press the Replace function in Notepad, you will see a "Replace All" button.

To my knowledge, Steam mods download as a complete mod folder and need no opening.

Below is a short guide on how to fix the problem with hairstyles, but here is how to fix the fact that when choosing a single gender for a race, this function does not work.

Both SE - Restyled {链接已删除}(https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2652300246) and SE: Human 2 - Indeterminable {链接已删除}(https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2666804265) have been updated.

The change in 3.5 affects all portrait mods that use a hair attachment selector.

Doc how do we fix SE restyled or can we?

Toxoid DLC update 3.5.1 broke the hair selection by changing the word "hair" to "attachment" for some unknown,illogical,reason -_-

THE DIY FIX:

[SE Human 2] Default Steam Workshop file path of the portrait file we need to edit:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\281990\2310933502\gfx\portraits\portraits

1) Right-click on the file "90_portraits_human"

2) Edit with Notepad++ (google for download AND do not use windows' notepad!!!)

3)[Ctrl + F] to find all the "hair_selector" words and replace with "attachment_selector" in one go, then save.

4) Enjoy! Ps. Same fix applies to other SE mods eg. SE Humanoid, created by by MnCnN. May he/ she be at peace for making this awesome mod! <3

So at this point it seems that this mod is currently unusable in 3.4 until the dev returns from his hiatus.. Or is anyone able to get it to work?

Is there a way to get this work with 3.4? I keep getting a mixture of the new default humans and these that crashes whenever I try to start a game.

Whoop, I fixed the issue. I had a patch installed to make indeterminable leaders work with the mod.

So, I uninstalled this mod, and now all human portraits in general are replaced with completely blank portraits.

I tried using this mod today and the game crashed around the year 2040. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I wish there was an SE 2 for humanoids.

It's the best human skin mod! The quality is good and I can feel the spirit of a craftsman.
