is it possible to reduce the subtitles in 4k resolution, they are too big now

Subs are way too big for my taste with this mod and I'm scared of how a fighting scene would look like with all the barks etc (1440p here and it feels like I have the subtitle size for 4k or more), but it works!

That’s it, essentially. As seen on the picture, the mod is already “switched on” and makes enlarged subtitles at 1920×1080 resolution, compared to original size. One shouldn’t set subs font too large because there are some very long text passages in Black Mesa to display as one subtitle and the displaying routine is restricted to a limited screen space.

For anyone saying it doesn't work, you have to move the file that's downloaded when you subscribe for it to be active. See devs first comment I pasted it here:

Copy the file ...\steamapps\workshop\content\362890\2309516750\definitely_larger_subs.vpk to ...\common\Black Mesa\bms\custom\ (create folder if it doesn’t exist).

actually, it doesn't seem to work for me in the new game ui either, I'm in 1440p

Doesn't seem to work on the old UI sadly (-oldgameui), I can't be asked with the new UI (doesn't support Vulkan, doesn't support quickloading from the menu)

So I installed this since I use 1920 x 1080, it shows no captions, uninstalled it, still no captions, reinstalled and still no captions, and yes this mod is in the custom folder.

This mod makes the HUD look a bit weird, but other than that it is a great mod.

No, when i installed this addon it completely got rid of the subtitles! I cannot see them and after uninstalling they still don't appear
