Just a tip. I have commanders choice Mod so when you rebuild it great to be able to pick exactly what you want.

Great job on this! Just what I wanted. When you do missions that give soldiers, you don't always get something you want. I was just thinking, I wished someone would make a mod for that. You didi it! Thank you

The mod does not seem to be working correctly with LWOTC. I build the GTS but i only see 4 slots 2 for rookie training and 2 for officers. however when i go to train rookies the last slot will sometimes show up but when i go to put a squadie in there the retraining just gives them a random class.

Just wanted to drop a quick note..

I'm currently working on a mod which selects special types of soldiers specified in the .ini file... It borrows heavily the source code of this mod...

@RustyDios You said to Krimi that template is different, but i have 2 tipes of heroes (regular version + proficiency version), if i remove the exclusions for heroes, i shouldnt break something, right?

The mod doesn't work with LWOTC for me. I retrain a soldier, time passes, a message appears that the training is completed, the class remains the same. In the config I prescribed retraining in the GTS, if this affects anything.

Now i use this mod in LWOTC. At the training center, the number of days required for retraining abilities increases by rank. So I think this mod would be more balanced if it also used this method.

Great mod. I always found it frustrating how many rookies I would end up promoting randomly via missions before I could get my GTS up and running to train specific classes. Now I can just let my initial troops bond with whoever they want and then fix their classes later so I don't have stupid match ups like 2 specialists bonded together or something.

I suggest changing the configuration once before starting a new campaign. If you change mid campaign I have no idea how the mod would behave (old man cannot remember the codes he wrote months ago).

@Aks I never said it would work mid campaign tho. This is an excerpt from the mod description.

Mid-campaign installs - I have not implemented this yet due to some complications of me allowing the slot to be configurable either to GTS or Training Center. If you have not built a GTS/Training Center in your campaign, you are fine. If you have already built any of these facilities, you will need to destroy and rebuild the facility to get the new slot (TIP: use console commands)

When combined with showing the XP: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1285095591 , it's clear that the rebuilt soldier has extra XP and will immediately level up on the next mission. Why is this?

Soldier Development is in my setup too. Do not touch the config i.e. leave them as "true" :) The mod will preserve your stat gains from those mods.

Hi, when you say "rollback" do you mean "re-roll"? Or just the important question: If I want to preserve the soldier's current stats, I leave these as true , right? And if they have any stat points due to RandStatAmount, those will be rerolled? Please, explain like I'm 5 if necessary.

I'm not using PBNCE but I will be using Soldier Development -- any stat gains from that would be preserved, right?

All of my soldier classes are custom. Even the Rangers, Specialists, etc. I give them an 8th rank and take a bunch of abilities of other classes and play around with adding them. I make a lot of adjustments. With all of the perk packs there are loads of fun things to experiment with.

I just found a way to rebuild the class tree midgame for Sparks, Reapers, Skirmishers and Templars.

@Maebalzurakin I didn't make the mod to work with Sparks. Thematically it does not make sense to me. Besides, build another Spark and having more Sparks is always better. What Special Soldiers are you referring to? Custom hero classes?

Hi TeslaRage. Great Mod, but I am using in a way slightly different than intended. I don't want to change my class, I just want to reset them.

I build a lot of custom classes with personal mods. I.E. My Ranger looks nothing like a vanilla Ranger. A lot of the time I will change around their skill trees mid campaign. Normally I would need to create a new Ranger soldier for changes to their skill tree to be in effect mid campaign, but with your mod, I can use leveled soldiers.

The only downside is that I can't respec my Sparks and Special Classes too. It would be awesome if those were added.

I've tested it with a soldier in RPGO using the Specialization Roulette option. It seems to work as intended, allowing a soldier to reroll their randomized specializations.
