You sure your map is called AOCTO-Shore_beta_p? Ain't working on my server. Says it doesnt exist. Its in the command line like the rest of the custom maps and this is the only one that doesnt work.

This is definatelly best looking custom map out there i didnt find any bugs on it and it looks graphically stunning

The attackers spawn needs to be moved up closer for the final flag objective. Attackers have to run way too far, and the defenders respawn too close to the objective. The defenders camp the flag, and get bored because they have to sit and wait for the attackers. There should be constant fighting back and forth. Shifting the spawns will likely help solve this.

Great map otherwise. Maybe make the first objective a little bit harder for attackers? As it usually doesn't last very long.

Yes you have to change the entry in the maplist to "AOCTO-Shore_beta_p" now. Don't worry it's gonna stay like this until the map is fully released. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I am confused - do I have to change the map name in the rotation? It is a pain to switch it back and forth.

Okay, ill try that. Its just that when I task manager it, it says 'not responding' which makes me suspicious that its not actually loading: but that might just be me being dumb. (stuck on loading screen)

Does it actually crash, or are you just stuck on the loading screen? If it's the latter, just wait through it (might take up to 5 minutes). Custom maps take ages to load up the first time. After that it just loads like any other map.

dunno if this is just me being dumb, but I d/led from the steam workshop, but when I try to join the knh server running irilla, i just instantly get 'not responding' and an infinite loading screen. Thoughts?

Unfortunately i can't change the flag mechanics as they are the ones from the CTF gamemode.
@Kanotsson:
The bugs you've mentioned are going to be fixed in the next patch which should roll out today. I'm not sure how I can balance archers better, maybe if I apply the suggestion Savas2001 made, with the extra hill that provides spots for Mason archers to counter.

I love the lighting on this map, it's perfectly done.

Before anyone demands any harsh balance changes. I just think for the Masons last objective, give access to the hill just in front of the Mason spawn building (when you come out and go to your right, slightly), so Mason archers can overlook Agatha archer points so it's not as easy for them to just look at the middle choke point. It's especially annoying when archers plus ballistas are all aiming at where the masons come through for an easy kill.

I think that should prevent Agatha from having full range control, plus ballistas.

Really nice map! After two playthroughs the only bugs I've found so far are:
>It's easy to get stuck at the wagon in the rightmost lane (from the attackers pow).
>The "Shoot" obj is still visible in the HUD after the second stage is completed.

Well made terrain and the first and second stages felt balanced. The third stage felt like it could be unbalanced considering the bottleneck entrance to the castle. The throneroom could perhaps use some assemetry, as it is it felt like three highway lanes.

Looks pretty but that flag capture objective is a very long way for attackers. It's basically a turkey shoot for the archers! It might be better if defenders couldn't instantly reset the flag so easily (I get that it uses the CTF mechanics) or the routes had more cover options from archers.

Jarl, once you subscribe to the Workshop item, it should automatically download for you. If you want to try out the map by yourself, type "open aocto-shore_alpha_p" into the console...If you want to play with your friends, find a server that runs it. Unfortunately there's only servers in AUS and EU running the map at the moment.

Managed to fill my server 32/32 with this. Absolute treat, I've only played Agatha but the Masons did mention the second objective was a bit unfair. Worth checking it out, I was whoring out the Ballista shooting them as they came out of the ravine and the teams were fairly stacked.

Looks great guys, very nicely done man.. I'll keep it on the rotation. :):axesword:
