Love the mod for this, but would love it if there was a khaki color version of this coat

Will there be more colors for the trench coat?

I did some experiments with that, but I ran into some issues with clipping and masking. It would require making an entirely new model, which is not that difficult to do, but last time I checked importing and exporting zomboid formats was a major headache. Might try it in the future though.

love the mod but feels its too op, is it possible to nerf the scratch defense a little as is just a flat upgrade to the firefighter trousers which doesnt make sense when fire equipment is tougher and more durable and if we combine the trench coat with firefighter trousers your on 75% scratch resistance from the hip down!

i dont mean to bother i really like this outfit mod is it possible to add a open trench coat option i have a detective character and i love using this coat for him

Updated the mod for version 41.52. Everything is the same, except the coat is a little more rare.

As far as I can tell, it was a problem with G.E.A.R. More specificaly, Item tweaker API. I loaded those two mods together and I couldn't inspect the coat. Just as you said. I did "something" and now inspecting works for me with these two mods loaded. Uploaded new version. I also changed some stats to make the coat stronger, yeat slower.

As you can see, I clearly come from rimworld XD

But uh, I'm probably right in guessing it's a conflict with another clothing mod right?

I'm not 100% sure, but this looks like a problem with a different mod. Started the game, loaded the mod and necroforge and I could inspect the coat and modify it without any problem. Can you tell me what mods you have loaded? Are vanilla clothing items working correctly?

I can't inspect it, dunno if that's supposed to happen or not

So I've tested it again; its working great so far man! Maybe it should offer more leg protection and have the same values as a leather jacket, but also add a small movespeed debuff (due to it being a trenchcoat after all). It would encourage a more stand and fight "undertaker" style of play.

This was "probably" intentional. As I wrote above, I used the existing bathrobe model, gave it new texture, changed its stats and made it into a new item. So I gave it the same basic features of the bath robe. HOWEVER, I tried to change it from bathrobe to jacket and it worked. There might be some clipping isues with certain clothes, but nothing major. Tested it with bulletproof vest and all kinds of dresses and it worked fine. Also added new images so people can see how it looks.

Cannot stack with any other clothing articles, most importantly vests; is it possible to code it to somehow allow at least let bulletproof vests be worn on top of it?

I have some ideas, but I'm still learning PZ modding. I want to start small and think about harder more complex stuff later. First, I want to add the two missing colors. Brown and olive. Next, I want to make those coats spawn on zombies, but I heard devs broke something in latest version and custom zombie outfits don't work now. After that, I will try adding some simple weapons and after that, I want to add more outfits. Trench coats mainly. Still have to learn a lot of things though. I know how to use blender (you can see one of my models on my profile), but I have to learn about exporting and importing models into zomboid.

Are you gonna make variations in terms of colors and styles or keep it as the formal type only?

Not yet. Have to figure this one out first. For now, you can find them in clothing stores, wardrobes and some other places.

will these spawn on zombies?

Did some digging around and I think I fixed it. Can wear them both together now.
