You might have some mods that change the physics or they might have updated the game enough to break this. I would try to fix it if it is broken but I haven't played the game in forever so I doubt I would be able to fix it. Sorry.

Restock, Restock+ and Restock extra are MODS, You can use CKAN to help install them

or look up a youtube tutorial on how to download the mod off of curseforge and put the mod manually in the game files.

I use ckan to download mods and you can download it by clicking this URL https://github.com/KSP-CKAN/CKAN/releases/tag/v1.30.0 then click the ckan.exe link at the bottom of the page, then wait for the file to download, then go to your files then download and drag the ckan icon to your desktop and open it, after its done loading find the restock mods and check the box on the left of the mods and click apply changes and you should have the mods.

It's not rip for the SN8. The more mistakes SpaceX make the more the final version will be better.
