Hi Urfish - its a GREAT idea to have the sheets mod as stand alone. AND if its possible to user configure what sheets to include in that....

More I play the release the more it feels like it's still alpha :/ so very many missing features that make things difficult or impossible to achieve

Do you have that speed table easily at hand by any chance? Knowing how far one can go at X speed in X time was very handy

I am delighted to hear that you have collaborated with the Developers, without you there would be no TDC integrated into the game a big thank you to you, I guess this Mods will be more followed so I can remove my subscriptions.

Is this mod still gonna be up after 1.0 releases? The diagrams and manuals that have been provided for this mod are great and I'm sure they'll be useful for the new TDC that's in the game now

I guess in summer. In the next weeks there starts an open beta for the 1.0 version ;)

In software development the term 'deprecated' may refer to programs or applications that are no longer supported or maintained by their original developer. Either because a newer version is available, will be available soon or the original product is simply no longer needed because some or all of its features have been incorporated into a larger product.

Since that is literally the case here as confirmed by FreekOly, 'deprecated' seemed more appropriate to me.

Decafbad is right. We stopped working/maintaining this mod. Sorry! But a few months ago we where informed by the devs, that there will be a nicely modeled and fully functional tdc in the game. We collaborated on this and agreed on the idea :) good things to come it seems

to be clear I'd much rather use this mod if I could, but being locked out of two majorly useful torpedo types for it feels like a bad trade in the end when normal hardcore aiming feels genuine enough, minus the tdc flavor.

Abandoned is the correct term. With nobody maintaining it the players have to fix the bugs themselves, and there's no way for the changes to get back upstream so everyone benefits from them.
It is not deprecated, it's still the most popular mod out there.

"Deprecated" might be a better term.

The mod does NOT need to be updated since it works just fine on the current version of the game AND it will not need to be updated when the next update drops because the author of this mod is actually assisting the developer to implement this mod into the game itself.

You can use this mod as is right now without issue and you can stop using it when the next update drops.

@Gabriel, this mod's been abandoned but there's a new version of UBOAT coming soon with a perfect replica of the actual TDC

Do I have to restart a new campaign after installing?

The checkmarks above the torpedo tubes that allow you to choose which flooded tubes will shoot doesn't seem to work? Unchecked tubes will still fire which makes firing on multiple targets in quick succession very difficult.

I have watched countless videos and tutorials on how to use this mod and I cant figure it out can someone help me?

@Heiney: Unfortunately, the TDC does not work with FAT/LUT Torpedoes... It's a great mod with really nice documentation, but for some reason they don't mention the missing functionality! But keep your heads up, the devs are implementing the TDC natively in the base game which is perfect

Idk whats going on, but when I use the FAT torpedoes, it doesnt matter what range I set it to to start "searching", they always start searching at 500m (the default setting). The TDC doesnt have an input for it, and even turning the TDC control off doesn't work.

Just a quickie - so i found that when i downloaded this but then decided i wasn't going to use it, all my torpedo shots using the normal targeting methods missed. Consistently behind the target. I just couldn't figure out what was going on until i decided to disable this mod. Once i did everything started working properly and using my "normal" targeting methods were bang on again.
So the point is yes, great mod, bu t if you decide not to use it then you should disable it as it seems to change some underlying stat which mucks up targetting when not using this mod. Have fun skippers!

@Vaeth: Time to impact was indicated by a red line on the stopwatch in SH3 if I remember correctly. Don't think it was displayed on the TDC. Haven't played Wolfpack in a while but I think you'd have to do it on your own there too.

Loved it when the actual hit would occur a few seconds later than calculated.

Yeah my FAT T3's always changed course to 90 degree to the right after about 2000 +/- meters. The FAT setting was set to the left and on 8000 meters because the target was stationary, about 4600 meters away. After deactivating the TDC the torpedos went straight as they should..
