Стоя на месте, спичка горит 20 секунд, без мода — 15 секунд.
Лампа сожгла масло с 250 мл. до 150 мл. за 1 минуту и 12 секунд, без мода сожгла за 52.

Как по мне, мод бесполезный, он увеличивает жизнь осветительных предметов всего на чуть-чуть.

where are the files i am supposed to copy, I cant not find them here?

i was sitting on 6 matches, 2 large oils, 2 smalls, and 1 medium before I lost the lantern . I'm fine with any form of mod really, but don't name it a fix - name it what it is. An upgrade.

This ads a way more realistic feel to the way the matches and the lantern work. My biggest gripe was how fast the oil burned out when that just isn't how a lantern works. Good stuff!

I did not change anything with the fear and my changes have no influence on the fear rate either. This is just a placebo effect.

I feel like the fear increases much faster when i installed this mod.

@Unoriginal If you did not save a backup of the original files, verify the game integrity cache file in steam before replacing the files again.

When you copied files from the 2279356883 folder, what folders did you exactly copy? All you had to copy was the script and entities folder, nothing else.

Also, as mentioned in this page, the mod should not be loaded from the custom stories menu. That means you just need to click new game or continue from your main game to play with the new matches and lantern.

Please help I put the files into the install folder but everytime I start the game i get an error saying "Failed to load config folder."

@Skp Gaming - You can find it if your right click on the game's properties in your steam library. There are enough guides that explain how to open your games' local files through steam.

I see a lot of 12 year olds insulting those who download the mod. "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, git gud, noob" No one will ever take you seriously if you do that crap.

Rather make a version that reduces match burn time and vision range for hardcore experience :D

Got to say the same as some other people, this mod is not needed for the game, even for the explorers. You can explore a lot even with the limited resources they give you. And even when you get 10 matches and full storage of oil, you still feel you need to be careful with usage. I think the system in game is pretty well balanced later on, as unless you actually push forward and actually continue forward, you will feel the oil and matches getting drained pretty fast. And in the beginning you really feel alone and hopeless when matches are the only thing you have. So for people wanting a real horror game experience, play without this or any similar mods.

This isn't exactly a fix... just a buff for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I played through once without mods, beat it without dying, still had tons of matches except one area, but almost never used my lamp and I would like to be able to use it more. Afterwards, you can mess around in the game lmao
I've had fun with playing the base game and got all endings, but there is probably some stuff I missed or cool little touches that I couldn't see because of how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dark it was.

Hence, longer lasting oil being helpful ;)

Sounds good, the burnout of the lightsources was bad in the game, but can you take out some locations of the oil and matches now that the last time is buffed?

I didn't have any problem with the original gameplay. Even when I used all of my stuff. So... yeah, that's just an easy mode that you propose.

I actually found the amount of light to be pretty forgiving most times, though i'm not complaining! This mod will be great for things like hunting down secrets or speedruns
