I tested this mod again yesterday with several other mods, and had the problem others described, that a colonist is stuck between 2 piles forever (bringing 75 to limited pile, carrying 74 back and then forever moving 74 back and forth between the two piles, although the current amount of the pile did not change. Since ari85 did not experience this, I assume its a mod conflict (can not test it myself with only this mod active currently because have too many mods active, takes way to long to enable them again, just for testing :D)
A stack of items is selected (probably based on distance source-destination). The stack is then moved to destination. Mod checks if stack is now over imposed limit: if so, the stack is splitted to limit. Excess items are moved to another area.
If another area is not available, items cannot be moved and stack is not splitted.
Not sure if it's a bug; maybe it could be changed to split at sources instead of splitting at destination, not sure
I found that this mod works ok but only if you have enough space for keeping excess resources.
let's me explain with an example: start a new game, create a 1x1 zone, set it to only accept steel and set a limit of 1.
Pawn will fill it with a full stack of steel (75 items) vs the 1 you expect.
but as soon as you create another zone accepting steel with no limits, pawn move the 74 "extra" steels from your 1x1 zone to the other bigger zone, leaving exactly 1 steel, as you expect.
