For those who can't find any downloaded maps.
Most of the time the game downloads the maps into this directory -->
Documents - My games - Sid Meier's Civilization 5 - MODS

Copy the downloaded maps from that MODS folder into the MAPS folder -->
Documents - My games - Sid Meier's Civilization 5 - Maps

Et Voila... You should now be able to find all maps under the "Additional Maps" tab when you setup your game.
Enjoy.

Hey the map shows up in mods but then when I set up the games it dosnt show up as a map choice even tho I checked the mod.

Yeah the map is great just alot of the resources are not in the right places I.E. cows in oceans fish in places work boats cant get too. Also some of your natural wonders like the mines of solomon block the cut through in the mountains.

you have alot of resouces in water tiles that are completely unaccessible, IE oil/fish/whales in a ocean tile 15 tiles from nearest island/continent beaches

As Darksydepat said, in order to get the map to show up, go to your documents folder, go to My Games/Civ5/MODS and then cut the Fantasy Map file (the one whose type is CIV5MAP File) and paste in in the Maps folder instead. I tried it and it fixed the issue where it didn't show up.

hey just a question from a new starting map maker I'm having problems with the map not showing up in your maps after loading the game and checking off the mod do you have an ideas? Thanks
